My issue with McBurnies second is two fold:

1 - He genuinely appears to only say that his shirt was being pulled, they need to stop the intimidating/bollocks, but not genuine communication.

2 - Maddison and Son spent their time constantly trying to referee the game, hounded him at half time and on multiple occasions appeared from the away end to be asking for cards, yet other than the booking for his mega flounce, the ref just let them. Same with City the other week.
The Premier League may not be corrupt, at least on the field, but the big/top/wealthy teams always benefit from being indulged, given the benefit of the doubt, double standards here and there, the inconsistency of decisions that favour them - as do so many of those teams’ players - by the refereeing.
It is probably more obvious and prevelant now but it has always been the case.
Certainly nowhere near a level playfield.

I get all that and you’re completely correct.

What I’m saying is. I can only speak from the level I work at and while I welcome the directive, it is wide open to what the ref interprets as abuse / abusive language. If a ref has his favourites (for want of a better word) then he’s going to let certain things slide, as happened at spurs yesterday and happens a lot on sundays

Tottenham fans are getting a bit ahead of themselves. I used to have a soft spot for the and hated Arsenal, but now I truly want Arsenal to put them in their place next week

One of them walking back to the station yesterday was comparing the manager to Brian Clough.

Can’t wait til they take a dip and he suddenly becomes “not good enough for Tottenham Hotspur”.

Any Chinese folk watching us?

Nope. Mostly Man U and West Ham shirts (though the place errupted when Brighton scored), then later on the Italian shirts outnumbered everyone (the blue and black shirt team - one of the Milans I think) I did some recording, I'll edit it later and stick it up if I can. When I cheered, most of the Chinese turned to look at our screen and clapped though! I think I was the only one watching the screen in the corner. When I came out of the bog, everyone was looking at me, so I knew something was wrong.
I made a video of my 4th Blades game in Asia (so far, 3 loses and a draw!)

Skip to 1min 49 for the football part. The first bit is me complaining that I have no clean clothes! haha

I spoke some Chinese in this film, but there are subtitles. I actually spoke with the driver about football for 20 minutes while we were stuck in traffic I told him Shanghai and Sheffield are the same for bad traffic ,but to be fair at 10pm this was nuts traffic, so I cut it all. And takes too long to do the subtitles.
