If played with counter attack tactics maybe. But I think k lots of strikers could play better in the counter because of more space. He also needs lots of crosses coming in and we've not done that of late because we've got inverted wingers and Burrows likes to shoot more than assist too. Seriki probably the only one currently who can assist regularly but he's injured.

Maybe because we know Stoke will bid more? If Cannon has said he wants to go, no idea but he may, then it will just be a matter of time.

Cameron archer on loan as a replacement was mooted on Blades Ramble yesterday. That's not a bad shout. Another loan mind.

Or he's trying to do what he has repeatedly mentioned, presumably using language the board has used with him, "restoring value".

The bids we're getting prove Cannon has value, if he was just cut from the squad last year he'd be worth nothing.

Only got 2 slots left if a defender is 1 ,and cannon goes like coh no replacement for 1 of them no fees .

I'm happy to meltdown with the rest of we reject significant bids for Cannon and he stays, while selling O'Hare. We all want to get the maximum for Cannon though, and the board will too.

I've stuck up for him, in that he's not awful, as per a lot of claims. He will score goals in the right team... But not many teams would suit him, because he's a very particular type that most teams moved away from 10/20 years ago! The right team might be in L1.

If we get even half our money back, sell and play One regularly.
 
If you watch Cannon closely he miles apart from someone like Billy Sharp.

He might technically have some good attributes (control and shooting), but his run timing, awareness and lack of aggression is so far off to make it at the top consistently.

How many times did we see Sharp, even in his mid 30s get down the channel, ahead of a defender and win us a foul or a throw in?

Cannon is always 3 meters behind them when the ball is played through.

not a cannon fan but we just dont adopt the tactics to suit his game so might as well cash in on him our tactics dictate that we need a physical striker that could well be one

Sharp won battles he had no right to. brilliant work ethic made endless runs many times to no end but he still made them and when they did come off bingo, Cannon arms throwing he is not fit to lace Billy's boots
