Outgoing? Tom Cannon

I'm all for posting rumours from different places, but when the account's next tweet down is a video of a dog urinating on the floor with the quote "when I shit my pants full of doo doo", maybe it's not worth sharing?

Verified piss stained source.

For the people who seem to think Cannon can play and it's United's fault, not his. What have you seen in his play that leads you to think that? There's a lot about the runs he makes but 9/10, when the ball is played he's caught from behind and isn't strong enough to get a shot off.

What am I missing because apart from having decent power in both feet, I see nothing at all ractically, physically or technically that makes me think he's a Championship player long term

This video shows the goals he scored whilst out on loan at Preston, in every single one of them, there were barely any defenders around him/he had chance to steady himself for his shot or it was a whipped in cross and he made a free run onto it. He can play but not beyond reasonable doubt that he can't play here because we don't offer that quick ball or whipped cross, we aren't matched and that happens. Everyone is jumping on Cannon and potentially yes out of the strikers we have he is probably the best to offload, to a club more suited and willing to pay a small fee back however our goal scoring tally in the league is still a big fat 0 so other problems too within the making the chances department.

Would be a good move for him if the price is right, knows the club, would soon regain his scoring touch I'm sure, they would be getting tremendous player who they need to move quickly before he's snapped up elsewhere, don't mess about Stoke, get it done

It's a yes from me, provided that we replace him. And by that, I don't mean signing somebody who just kicks it hard. I want somebody who has a football brain, isn't flat-footed, can hold the ball up, jump, and generally put himself about, or even 1 or 2 of those attributes.

I hope we replace him if he goes. We need an old striker who is injured most of the time, but understands the Blades way! Preferably a former Leeds player.

We could replace him with a ghost

If we sell cannon we should
Bring in a proper left winger that we pay for. Shock.
And get adebayo on free if hes still available
As ever too slow probably due to disinterested owners who wont sign anything off

And what’s highly important in that video, QPR and Swansea aside. Those goals came against Wigan, Blackpool, Rotherham, Reading and A very recently promoted Cardiff all teams that were or who are currently playing in a league lower than this level.

In fact of the 26 championship goals he’s scored since 2023, he’s only scored 3 of those goals against teams you would consider higher than top half of the championship teams. (Burnley, Sunderland, Derby County) the rest are league one/two or were at the time newly promoted/bottom half championship sides. To me it highlights that he can obviously play football but not at the level required here.

Oli Burke !!
