I get us wanting to make as much as possible on a sale but that is ridiculous. He is the furthest thing from a £7million pound player i can recall seeing. If someone was daft enough to offer 4 or 5 we really need to be accepting and cut our losses with this one. May well make me eat my words in the future, doubtful imo but who knows

If we say we want 7 they may go to 4-5 we say 4-5 we get 2-3, starts off the negotiation

Scored 9 goals, four in one game against a pretty much reserve side… then you take the penalties sorry but he wasn’t the haaland of the championship at stoke

Sounds like Preston may try for Archer from Saints instead.

I’d seriously be fine for him to go and not replace directly. You have Campbell and Oné to support Bamford.

We look better with a 10. O’Hare at the monent. But perhaps we get two who can play on the wing with one of them also able to compete for the 10 slot.

Keep the money to one side and just be financially sensible and see if a little could be used in January if pivotal.

wouldnt mind us going for archer again know he wasnt a success here last time round but he will get plenty of goals at championship level and is far better than cannon

We scored a shed load of goals last season; remember we scored 3 or more in loads of matches? But this season we've lost Hamer and Brooks. Even last season Cannon looked lost. He's done well before granted like at Preston but it's time he moves on. My main guess as to why he's done well at Preston is that they play a lot more defensively and hit teams on the counter.

Whereas with us we like to take the game to opponents and we've seen most teams sit deep and Cannon hasn't got the game to play v teams sat deep. If you look at his goals for Preston they're either on the counter or crosses into a box with few opponent defenders.

Better players should be able to play in different styles. Bamford scored almost 1 in 2 last season. This season we're obviously lacking with player sales but Cannon looks like a league one striker. He's got no strengths to his game apart from, occasional, long range shooting success.

Also there were strong rumours that it wasn't Wilder who bought him but rather COH sports. He doesn't seem a Wilder type player to me so in this regard it's been a misfit from the off.

For the people who seem to think Cannon can play and it's United's fault, not his. What have you seen in his play that leads you to think that? There's a lot about the runs he makes but 9/10, when the ball is played he's caught from behind and isn't strong enough to get a shot off.

What am I missing because apart from having decent power in both feet, I see nothing at all ractically, physically or technically that makes me think he's a Championship player long term

Id take £50 now and another tenner addon for promotion
