If we could shift Cannon out what would my fellow long suffering blades thoughts be regarding approaching leeds and taking Joe Gelhardt on a loan to buy, hopefully we will be in a better financial situation next year and surely he would be a much better addition Cheers🍻

F in hell, tjer had to be one good pice of transfer news didnt tjere and Jeremy we have it.

If a team plays him on the shoulder of the last defender and have players who play through balls he might thrive. We seem to think he's a 10 and don't play that way so hes a complete waste of time

Sell and buy a big strong CF like one of the Millwall lads

According to Nixon... Dont think Wilder will sanction this unless he gets his bully of a number 9 he wants in. Cannon stretches the game .. apparently..
Only stretching is when I’m doing a big yawn watching him play football.

At least if stories are getting out there it proves we’re trying to find him a move.

No ones going to pay a fee for him.they will want him on a loan to buy for practically nothing
Agreed - think it would be best for all parties if he moves on a loan to buy deal . That is the only way we could get any decent money back for him - maybe £1 million loan fee + £2 million to buy next summer.

Then hopefully we can bring a good loan for the season to support Bamford, Campbell & One

If it was a game of Snakes and Ladders, we are currently sliding down the big snake from top of the board to nearly back at the start.

I think this season and next summer is all about resetting. We have to hope we can manage to do that as a championship club. And that we have a manager who can navigate it and come out the other end capable of building a new team on a championship budget.

We simply carry too much wages from bad recruitment.

This season is a write off. That's glaringly obvious.

We need exit plans for Campbell, McGuinness, Chong, Cannon - maybe even Burrows and Tanganga.
Write off, if we get rid of all those that 22/1 relegation odds look like an open goal.

Not all players are versatile.

Cannon's best performances I've seen, both for us and others, have been playing off another striker. Usually one who can hold the ball up and win headers and flick ons.

We've rarely played him that way and I don't see that changing under Wilder. Therefore, happy to move him on.

Personally would rather see Wilder moved on.

Rothwell needs to go before any of them and you can add Jairo on that list as well.
Any serious rebuild shouldn't involve them.
Agreed. Probably easier to list players who you would realistically expect/want to be here for a rebuild.

Cooper, Seriki, Arblaster, O'Hare, One.

Frightening how small the list is.

If this season goes pear shaped early, you may get your wish in a few months.

Not expecting that personally but unless we suddenly find some gems before the end of the month, I'm only expecting lower midtable with largely turgid fare.
I can see it turning ugly, I original thought around October but can see it being as early as 6 games in.

Jairo looks like a total panic buy just to bulk out the squad
Maybe Jairo was a panic buy, but in that case at least it would be a panic buy where we know what we're getting from him, rather than panic buying someone new who we don't know what we're getting.

It would have been the same had we re-signed Mcburnie last season, a panic buy because we knew we needed a ST, but at least it would have been someone where we knew exactly what we were getting.

Doesnt match our current set up but his prior time at preston he was shit hot bet hecky would get a good number out of him. Could be a win win if true

IMO we played far better / had better results when Jairo was on the pitch last season, he’s smart, skilful & has a calm head. Tanga good, if he’s paired with the right CB. Burrows had an off season but still he offers sthg v different to Sam Mc & I’d keep him. Especially if/when we strengthen in central defence. Personally, Cannon needs to go & of course McGuinness & probably Chong. Shackleton too (obvs). Jury’s out on Rothwell, haven’t seen enough of him yet but I’m fearing the worst 😂 Keep trying to tell myself that there are still 3 weeks left…

The problem being that Preston record signing is £6m I doubt they have funds available to pay that again.
Can see Stoke being interested though and they would hopefully pay more
Anyone who shows effort and not shoved off the ball would be a bonus , add someone with pace and / or speed and it iS no brainer to move him on and find a replacement
well seing preston are after him may get stoke thinking if we can get 6m i would take that and no doubt once weve sold him he will score for fun

There isnt a single manager out there that we need more than wilder right now at this current point

Wilder is the glue holding the club together IMO

Utter nonsense spouted
At first I thought you was serious but then I saw you had put Utter nonsense spouted at the bottom explaining your insane ramble above.

OMG , if we don't get rid now we never will.
I don't care if he cost £10m or 10p , he's been a failure for us.
Sometimes things just don't work out.
He might be a star at Preston , I couldn't give a fuck.
I'm sick of seeing him waste his time and ours at the Lane.
GET HIM SOLD.
It'll be the best business we do all year.
Hang onto Oné , whose got the physique to be coached into a valuable player

If we sell Cannon (which I’m not opposed to depending upon the fee we receive) I wonder which loan we’ll go for to take his place?
Is there a limit on the amount of loans you can have in the Championship ?
Because we have one already, we need two CB, a Hamer replacement, left winger possibly a left back and a midfielder and maybe a Striker if Cannon goes.
