Alan Nixon suggesting we're in for Tom Cannon from Leicester, as a replacement for McBurnie. Says West Brom and Stoke are also interested.
FFS - we REALLY need to replace the lazy bag of shite that is the clubs worse signing in it's history????????????
Well if anyone can screw up that badly again it is the buffoon Wilder.
ps Buntor Brewster who is at least trying to succeed recently I class as the 'most moronic'.
(possibly by any club let alone us)
Deja vue all over again.
As with O'Connell then and Sooty now we needed a BIG quality centre back not a superfluous 'striker' of dubious quality

**** that.
Saw this posted on web site before last nights game.
BUT NOT NAME.
Saw face - thought he looked foreign.
Desperately hoped he was another Anel - big centre back.
SO disappointed
Qu 1. Did you notice him when we played Stoke?
I heard him mentioned but saw no sign of anything at all let alone special.
Qu 2. Did you notice him last night - admittedly in a truly awful lineup under Wilder?
Qu 3. Who do you trust with a striker - disaster Wilder or top striker manager at Leicester?
They have a 38?year main striker and a backup being sought by others.
They see no future for Cannon NOW or even next season in the Chumpionship
I just hope he has been selected by Hoyland et al who stole DCL from us and not proven failure Wilder

re #sufc requirements.
If you assume Moore is out for season and OHare is useless (the only positive way Hull City TV could find to describe him last night was 'busy')
We had top strikers Campbell and Diaz and box striker Brewster
PLUS two top quality no 10's Hamer and Jesus/Rak Sakyi
(and even potentially a good finisher in Marsh if he ever gets a game there)
We have one BIG but lightweight centre back Anel and several dwarf centre backs who leave us exposed in the air as at Swansea, regardless of the fact we should still be playing with three and two wingbacks.
We wasted Diaz and Brewster as midfielders tracking back and the so called strikers with zero service, mindless deep possession ('pass and control') with no width from disabled wingers Brookes, Jesus and no wing backs.
ATTACK WIDE, DEFEND NARROW,
We are a shambles of what we should be under Wilder - don't let previous results in the worst ever second division (caused by BAD deluded arrogant half wit managers) convince you otherwise.

Fit enough though to come on and do 40 mins though?
Yes, that's what Wilder said. Do you think Souza and Campbell were fit and he just fancied starting a left back out of position and a striker that'd been here two minutes for a laugh?

Worried that NerdyBlade was right about Cannon after his debut….
To be honest, I stand by what I've said above

He wasn't great, but he put in a lot more effort than I saw when he had bade games at Stoke. Very McBurnie style getting back and defending, a lot of movement and running ect. I'll give him time before I shout from the rooftops that I was right

The only positive thing you've ever put on this Forum is your username, and that was probably a typo - utd4never?
Yep it’s a real shame my passion for wanting Utd to win every game gets the better of me.

I bow down to you and all other Blades fans that don’t give a shit if we win lose or draw.

I presume you just go with ya mates for a piss up and probably don’t even watch the game. There’s plenty of you I’m sure.

I think you need to do your homework. One things for sure, I certainly don't go for a piss-up, and anyone who was with me on Friday will know how annoyed I was with the performance and the result. "There's plenty of you I'm sure." Yep, I have put on a bit of weight recently, but unfortunately I am a total one-off.

a warm welcome to the s2 lane yipee reyt player i respecto ..what a great permanent signing ..the no9 cannon goal machine man ..i can see you being a hit and i recon youll be a sheffield united fc blades kop legend... rock on tommy from pasta

interesting comments nerdy know you were against this signing and we disagreed on him for a start wilder shouldnt have put him straight in but i was slightly dissapointed with his performance although as you say he had no service from midfield or out wide plus i would like to see him up top with campbell think we have to ditch this 1 up front and just go for it in last 3rd of season if not think its play offs for us

Struggling to see any positives in this signing. His movement is poor, he doesn’t read the game, his control is rubbish. What a waste of money

In Brewster and cannon we've managed to spend the best part of £40m on what looks like a league 1 strike force .... It's remarkable

Why bother signing any striker if you won't acknowledge the issue with giving them anything to feed off? Genuinely think we have the most idiotic scouting team in history.

I get the bad feeling that Cannon may end up costing Wilder his job in the end. Perplexing signing for the money.
That combination is going to cost us any chance of being competitive financially for a while. 3 year contract just signed...
