Why on earth was he thrown into the side just 24 hours after signing him? Wilder regularly states about players having time to bed in yet he not only threw him in he persisted with him all night even when he offered nothing. You can’t blame Cannon. Wilder dropped a massive bollock and you sometimes think his pig headedness gets the better of him.
 
He isn't going to score too many in this system. And I say that as a fan of him.
 
Wilder started Cannon who has been at the club one day and BBD who looks way off match fit and expects those two to do summat, add to that he tries Burrows in midfield again after what happened at Swansea first half. Fair to say Wilder dropped a few bollocks with that starting line up.

A smart man (me) would have spent 5 mill on the best left footed centre back in europe who was attaianble

what do i know i just hold every coachng badge Fifa and Uefa allow you to attain

Poor debut but then it was a poor performance collectively. Let's see how he is when the teams back at the races again.
 

Cannons a finisher by all accounts. We're a team that doesn't create many opportunities for our strikers. Strange signing IMO but it's not the lads fault. May fair better playing off Moore but we don't generally play with two strikers.

Agree but I suppose we didn’t have the fit bodies….so had no choice but to throw them in.
Cannon was isolated and hardly touched the ball. BBD looked rusty but he’s hardly played.

I got hammered on here for suggesting this, if we had that sort of money to spend there are areas of the team it needs spending more

yeah, strange one. Came in 2 days ago. Had to start, really. As did BBD as Campbell and Brewster have put a lot in the last two games… gets slagged off already
 
I would have started Campbell or Brewster with BBD. Give them 45-60 mins and then brought him in. One would have been a better choice.

Billy at least had good hold up play and was a constant presence and nuisance for defenders.

Can’t write Cannon off at all, he’s a long term investment but there’s no doubting he’s one had one of the worst debuts in living memory

The ball would need to go into his feet to hold the ball up..
 

We don't create enough chances for any centre forward. Trying to play like Man City without the players is painful
