I’d imagine that it would be structured as a season long loan (for around £2m), then an an obligation to buy if promoted (for around £5m)

I’m sure LCFC will push for £7m up front, straight transfer, but I can’t see anyone offering that, and settling for a loan to buy is probably their best bet.

Tbh, at £7 million, if we paid something like £4/5 million with a further £2/3 million in potential add ons, I'd be happy with that.

Either that or we do go with a loan to buy.
Seriously? What have you seen of him that makes him a £5m player?

Ha I know I'm just kidding, I've genuinely never seen him play to the best of my knowledge, so I can weigh in. But he does sound like someone who might have played upfront with Hotshot Hamish or Roy of the Rovers.
Loved that, used to read it from cover to cover, made me think of Billy’s boots as well

I see he was born in Aintree. Perhaps if both Luton and ourselves meet the financial package, signing for us means he’s nearer home

Might not mean a fkin thing like but we live in hope 😕
At the Grand National?

Luton can fuck off, wank bastards

If you have any ambition or pride then who would want to go to Luton playing in a shit league 2 level 10,000 capacity stadium
when you could be playing in a 31K raucous Steel City derby atmosphere instead.
An hostility that exceeds the Everton -Liverpool rivalry that he grew up with as a kid.

Surely Luton would need to double whatever we're offering for him to even think about it and insist on a release clause.

If we want him don't think there's any way he chooses Luton over us.

Cannon appears to have all the attributes to be very good at this level. I appreciate many will compare him to Brewster based on what he's achieved so far but we can't base every future striker singing on this forever more.

If you watch his highlights for Preston and Leicester he looks quick and strong and has a very powerful shot. What more can we expect for £5m - £7m these days? Solanke has just gone to Spurs for £65m!

Personally think he'd be a great signing and if it pays off an English goalscorer could be worth a fortune in a couple of seasons. For every Brewster there's an Ivan Toney. Before Peterborough signed him he'd been out on multiple loans and hardly set the world alight.

agree could just be the striker were looking for we should go all out to get this lad in

With how in the shit we are with PSR we wouldn't be willing to make a loss on him if we sold him

We paid £7m and he would now have about £5.6 left on his value
But he’s not done anything, I don’t even know who he was.
