Tom Cannon is toss

He was making some good runs during the first half but none of our players could get a pass through to him. Hamer was close on a few occasions.

Credit Pompey's defenders for that, they were cutting everything out.

Second half, he was largely anonymous, but he isn't toss. Give the lad a chance.

He's 22. On a long contract.
He doesn't have to hit the ground running.
We shouldn't be forcing it. Campbell is great in that role.

Aye, wouldn’t want to
He’s already contributed. A lovely assist vs Derby and today got the ball out of his feet quick to her Brewster in for the cross.

Definitely a couple of times today on goal he could have shown more and I know we paid a lot. But he’s hardly looking a lost cause.

There’s always a race to be the first to write off a new signing, I don’t think the op even really believes it himself.

The bit that annoyed me was second half, a pass was put into him on the half way line, it was cut out before it got to him but he made absolutely no attempt to win the ball back despite being the nearest man, he just wandered off and made Choudhury run 20 yards out of position to close him down.

He had a golden chance to play Rak Sayki in too, but took on a more difficult chance himself

Shame we didn't use AI before signing Cannon and saved ourselves a lot of money.

I've not been blown away by him in the three games I've seen so far. I'd like to see him in the box more rather than looking for the ball.

Give him chance though.

Diaz looks bad too, and we know what we're getting with him.

Far too early to pass judgement IMO

I think some people are so traumatised by Brewster looking so raw when we signed him they are getting carried away.

Seen enough from him to see there's something there

He's been nowhere near as good as Brewster, who's getting better by the game.

Early days and stuff but let's all be honest he's not up to it, it's obvious, he's crap ... Brewster 2, he should be a sub for the remaining games or he's going to cost us

I think he's very poor from what I've seen, absolutely gutted we've paid £10m for him

Bloody hell, is this a record?

Three games in and another forum expert writes off a player.
Time of the month?

Whatever happened to 'supporters '? You know, people who actually SUPPORT their team.

Toss is harsh, far too soon for that but he definitely hasn’t done enough to be starting on Wednesday night. The same goes for BBD as well

I actually don’t think he’ll be a very good signing, but will happily revisit this post at the end of the season and eat my words if he comes good. As ever, GLTTL

Not sure what to make of Cannon yet although he was part of the build up for both of the goals.

Garbage. Another one that Wilders spunked big money on while pissed up on Perroni. Bet he doesn’t score 10 goals total for us

Was not a fan of the signing, but he was certainly not helped by using an unbalanced front three today with limited midfield help in terms of creativity

Spot on, true words, which I very much doubt you will be eating!
