That's a joke, right? It took everyone's attention and sapped all the atmosphere and momentum for the remainder of the first half, culminating in giving away a silly equaliser.

I was on the south stand and it seemed to generate some liveliness.

Blaming the pyro for the goal we conceded makes a change from the health and safety busy bodies.

Missing the point slightly. The flare and smoke bombs had a direct impact on making the atmosphere flat for the remainder of the half and distracted many from focusing on the game. We lost momentum, I believe in part due to the change in atmosphere and also in part due to Leon having to go off. The lost momentum for the remainder of the first half culminated in giving away a poor equaliser.

Do you disagree that there were 5-10 minutes of people on the Kop and JSS (can't speak for south stand as I was on JSS and watching the Kop) looking to see what was happening, if something bad was unfolding and why the hi-vis jacketed people (stewards? Police? Ambulance?) were getting involved, do you disagree that Chesterfield were firmly in the game from that point or do you disagree that we conceded an equaliser right at the end of the half?

Whether or not it affected anything on the pitch, to say it improved the atmosphere is false.

The heat of those things could be felt at the back of the South Stand. The should bring 'em in January.

We could feel them in the Westfield as well.
