OK, I know it's another poll but thought it would be interesting to guage the general feeling based on the four 'in the frame' this week.

Foxy, unless I misunderstand him, suggests that two of his bets are still in the running. Could there yet be a twist in the tale? I do hope so. I know he had a bet on KR.

I suspect I'm clutching desperately at straws. This is a big decision. We've made a right Bladey mess of it and we will pay the price (or wouldn't, if you see what I mean!)

I caught clap after knocking a bird. Does that count?

Surely you saw the results of our recent poll?

Syphilis is clearly the STD of choice for S24SU. Most of us would prefer it to the majority on our short list (which, it is now obvious, reflected short on ability).

Could be, he still hasn't said anything officially, neither have MK as far as I know.

KR is still a good outside bet for me. Apparently didn't come for interview because of a better contract offer from MK......yet to be announced that he's signed it.....I smell a rat!

The latest article in the Stir suggests that they were ready to name the new man last weekend (Page at a guess) but they then received a few late applications, presumably Appleton (who may have been up for the Wolves job) and Curle. As said elsewhere, Curle is a strange one as I'd be amazed if he wasn't in the first batch of applicants but who knows.

Maybe they are hanging on for KR's talks with MK, maybe it'll be someone out of the blue like DW was.

Following your perusal of the above, you could also let us have your choice of burial or cremation.

I am amused that Page is a landslide early leader, despite the fact that he has no managerial experience. I put this down to the fact that he is the only one suspected of ever having punched Michael Doyle.

I think it's a more a case that he hasn't had chance to disappoint yet !

Morgs 7 games, Appleton 79 games are hardly blessed with experience though and I can't think anyone would be particularly impressed with Curle.

Also it was in the Times yesterday that Appleton has agreed compensation from Blackburn without going to court so perhaps he is now free to get another job

Landslide early leader and there's talk (very possibly with no substance but still...) that the board wanted to appoint him but were reluctant to do so as they thought the fans would be up in arms!

He's the lass we weren't interested in at all at the start of the night but who now looks amazing now all the stunners (stretching the analogy a bit here I know) have copped off

My money is on an elderly unemployed Jock who has just left a Manchester club, and has a football boot ready to throw with the name of Doyle on it.

Can't understand why we are interviewing late entrants. Surely one of the main criteria is do you want the job. If you cant be arsed to apply when you know the job is there then I would suggest your not that bothered.

No you don't. I don't recall ever saying who my bets were on? :)

It was the topic "Robinson imminent" started by brownie recently. My (obviously imperfect) recollection was of a meeting where John Garrett said something that caused you both to have a flutter? I would apologise but I'm congenitally incapable of so doing.

Take a look back, I've never said anything of the sort - I think either you or Brownie must have dreamed that :)

Well, for a loyal Blade it can only be burial. It is largely through the excavation of bones that we gain our knowledge of pre-historic times.

There has, though, been an interesting development in the favourite STD poll. An exiled Blade named Michael Douglas has mounted a late campaign in favour of HPV. I can't take him seriously, though. He's all mouth!

I have. Nothing express, but hints the size of..........large hints!

Curiosity made me check who on Earth could possibly have voted for Muckanettles Morgan. It was strangely reassuring to see it's Mad Mick and Living in a Fantasy World.

It sort of restores your faith, doesn't it?

I had £20 on KR at 66/1, and thought Foxy had got similar odds from the imminent thread and what he had said on there.

Still doesn't matter as I'm £20 lighter
