From the moment the final whistle went at Brentford on Sunday, I have found myself watching the clock and counting down the minutes to 12.15pm tomorrow (US time). My excitement has been steadily building, my thought processes moving quickly to 'I am thinking of nothing else but Saturday'.

I am going to a Pink concert in Detroit on Saturday night and I have told my wife we will be delaying our trip until after the game. Thankfully she understands that I have SUFC blood pouring through my veins and, while reluctantly agreeing to the delay, she fully understands.

I have twisted my brain every which way over this game: will we be the bottlers, will we play awful, will we make horrendous mistakes and gift the game to Ipswich?

But no matter the permutations that I conjure up in my brain, it comes down to a single thought...

I simply cannot see, no matter how I look at it, that the boys will pass on this incredible opportunity to go to the promised land. It is inconceivable to think that the team, individually and collectively, will not work together, pass well, drive to the net, pick up stray balls in midfield, and not have that singular objective in mind: we will win and be there! Each and every player will play their hearts out, push their weary legs to the physical extreme, and get every ounce of mental fortitude out of this game because..... the prize is too great not to do so.

I will have a sleepless night tonight. I have been a Blade for 62 years, experienced the ups of EPL and the bottomless pit called the 4th division. I have watched some incredible games both at BDTBL and on TV but, in recent times, and with an incredible manager at the helm, and a team working as a team, and a fan base at the Lane tomorrow driving the team forward, this is THE game.

I won't be at BDTBL but I will be on my sofa watching from Toledo Ohio and I will be with you in spirit, every single one of you.

And at the end of the day tomorrow, maybe, just maybe, we will ALL feel the the power of the EPL paradise.

Good luck to the team tomorrow and to all you great and loyal Blades, ENJOY THE MOMENT.

I had the same manic thoughts of working out permutations of how - if at all - it could go wrong. All I have been left with is a publicity hungry twat of a turbo ref that brandishes a red card to the home team on something ridiculous like 19 minutes after an innocuous, over-zealous, slightly mistimed tackle caused by our absolute will to win... :(

Entirely possible we can lose both games and still finish 2nd :).

IF we fuck it up from here, this place will be a nice, comfy, homely environment to inhabit ;).

Good read Toledo. I'm over in Florida and trying desperately to find a sports bar which will be screening the match, but after receiving some suggestions from fellow blades I haven't had much luck yet. I'm in a villa with a TV with hundreds of channels, but not Sky. Do you know if any other channel in the States shares Sky programmes? I've looked at ESPN, but it's not listed that they will be showing it. Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance.

I've got to say, she's pretty forgiving for an international pop star.

Hey Farnborough, the north American rights for the championship are held by DAZN. I have a yearly subscription to DAZN-CA, but there is also DAZN-USA. I think you can pay a $10USD monthly subscription to DAZN-USA with no contract and then cancel immediately, but you'll still get access for the whole month. The Blades are live at 12.15pm EST, Norwich game is live at 2.30pm EST and then Leeds live on Sunday at 7am EST. You just need an internet connection to watch on laptop, mobile or ipad etc. Hope that helps.

UnitedUnitedWeStand has got this one wrong. In the US, the game will be on ESPN+, which is the streaming channel that has all the Championship coverage in the US. It's not on tv, but you can watch online. You can get a free one-week trial or the monthly subscription is dead cheap--I think $5. Get it on your phone, device, or a computer. It's easy. But it'll be pretty hard to find a bar with this channel.

Sorry!!!!!! It's on DAZN here over the border!

“I am going to a Pink concert in Detroit on Saturday night“

That’s when I stopped reading. If I should carry on, someone let me know.

Note: that’s sayin something too, with the shite posts I write.

alas its a xmas gift that came due. This week it is Pink, next weekend it is Snow Patrol, culminating in Queen in July followed by my family's trip back to Sheffield in August.

Espn+ is covering this game.
