Dont worry when i win.the euromillions im gonna sign messi and ronaldo for us

be out of place here ,
lets just roll our sleeves up and just play the best we can

76 more or less assures a play off spot
80 definitely does
68 has done it but too risky a target
if we can get 12 wins we are more or less in the play offs ,
thats target 1
10 home 10 away win 8 at home 3 or 4 away can cement a play off berth
sounds easy on paper , but we got a fight on to do it

its in our own hands

Wigan Burton Gillingham and Walsall all to come to the Lane
Only Coventry of the top 6 away

2nd and 9th April games will be huge

Personally I will take it a game at a time, because I haven't a clue what team will turn up from one game to the next.

Get some game changing players in before the end of the JTW and who knows. We're 14 points off top spot or 12 from 2nd which isn't impossible but very difficult. It would take an incredible run to achieve such a feat but it's a one game at a time scenario.

A play off place seems the more likely at this present time but like I said above its all about bringing in the key players we need.

The current side isn't good enough for 2 points a game (top 2 form that) until the end of the season. They might scrape into the play-offs, but without the cavalry turning up in the JWT (Byrne and Clarke for example) this lot aren't up to it, too many glaring deficiencies down the spine of the team.

I'm forever hopeful. We've just had an impressive December. If we can keep doing that then who knows. It's vastly unlikely but I'm a football fan who lives in hope.

The next 7 games are all winnable and imo will determain whether it's the play offs or automatic we will be fighting for in April. If we can get 18 points from our next 7 games it would put us in a brilliant position to take on the top teams at Bramall Lane. I really am starting to see a big difference in the players attitude and will to win in recent weeks. We can still do it! UTB

And why exactly do you think they'll prosper any less than Bury, Colchester, Millwall, Shrewsbury and Peterborough did. Love the sentiment mate but the facts, are the facts.

If we are going to come out on top of these games (and most of the others) we need to improve a lot. 3 pts yesterday is great but we were mauled 2nd half by a team who are second bottom and who had previously lost their last 4 at home. Midfield was non existent 46 mins onwards and had it not been for Long and a fair stroke of luck, we could have very easily lost that one. Not unlike the Crewe game in parts who, before we arrived, hadn't won at home for months.

Four players across the middle who are too much alike and all, far more comfortable defending. Need more support for the forwards and someone with more pace and guile who is prepared (and equipped) to support the attackers.

Current set up and approach places far too much pressure on the defence and leaves Sharp and co often isolated.

Fingers crossed that January brings us other options.

its called faith
we will bring in a couple , lets hope they fit in
if we dont be a challenge

weve only lost 1 in the last 8
and we could have won that one
just got to keep at it

How many convincing wins have we had this season? Not sure I can remember more than a couple.

By all accounts we were lucky to win yesterday. Despite an upwards blip in December, our over all form has been very lacklustre. We know that Lady Luck prefers to kick us in the nuts.

So I can't see us averaging 2 points per game without a major change of personnel in key positions. And you have to say that this is most unlikely to happen. Adkins has made it clear that a reduction in players is a priority.

Scrape into play offs at best for me. And we know what happens then.

to be fair look at top of the league Burtons results all their wins are by one goal
4=0 2=1 you get 3 points for both
why do we have to be convincing
winning is convincing enough

no point winning 6=0 then drawing 2 games when 3 1=0 wins gets 4 more points

It’s not only about the games we have it’s also about our support we give, and to be honest it’s not the best, yes we support in numbers and that’s it, but we are very poor in supporting the team with vociferously for 90 minutes. Yesterday for example at Colchester as soon as Colchester scored we were as quiet as church mouse as if the world had ended same at Wigan.

What has happened to the 12th man with our fans? I was l watching Done and Sharp yesterday they ran their socks off for the team, and not once did we acknowledge their efforts with some good old chants just to let them know, we had” he’s one of ours “(boring) for sharp. They would hear it and I’m sure it must be a good pick me up for a lot of players. So let’s forget about the games and more of we can bring to the table at each game.

Somewhat dramatic to say "to shape our destiny" we are playing for 5th or 6th place at best

It may be more accurate to say it may shape Adkins future at the club. A failure to contend for another play off defeat could see us starting again with another new manager.

We have absolutely no chance of making the top 2.

People need to get this prospect out of their heads and concentrate on trying to scramble into the play offs.

Funny thing is, with a few recruits this Jan we could have a team capable of not only reaching the play offs, but winning them.
1 goalie
2 centre halves
3 midfielders
1 striker
That should just about do it.
Simples

It might be a cliche, but people club, players, fans) should just focus on winning the next game.

I don't get the target bit - as if you'd settle for a draw if you win your last one.

Go out to win every game any see where it takes you. I'd guess 5th or 6th spot, but who knows. At least we're on the up now, overall.

We've had 3 away games in 7 days starting with Old Trafford which most were expecting a spanking which we didn't get. 3 down and dead and buried yet we find from somewhere the strength and determination to pull back a 3 goal deficit. That in itself is Warnock-esque and says something of the players we have. Yesterday's away win to cap off 7 days on the road is worthy of some praise and hopefully some belief. It can be done.
