But Pleased wilder called him out in the Blackburn game for his impact and I’m hoping given the outlay for him we get him fully up to speed and involved soon as I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do.

I thought he looked very lively against Palace and understand similar at Bournemouth, although I didn't go.

He's playing at a higher level against much superior players but still looks a threat. His first touch could be better but I'd suggest that dropping him won't help.

My point was more about the 'hero to zero' attitude on here. In the pre season friendlies he was a superstar and now he's apparently crap.

Absolutely correct, how on earth can a Div 1 player come good at Prem level if he isn't thrown into the deep end? Wilder paid, by our standards, a substantial fee for CR, so showing a little faith will be the way to realise his potential. Funny how some posters make definitive judgements based on one game, rather than allowing a player a chance to adapt and evolve. Although talented, Robinson must be allowed to make mistakes and learn to raise his game. Who knows, we might have a very special player on our books if we show patience and dedication to this player?

I’m not sure when you have seen Freeman? He was instrumental in our recovery at Bournemouth and victory over Palace.

I dont think it's unfair to favour Freeman over Fleck based on their contributions this season, but your assessment of Fleck is just odd.

As a side, we cant afford to carry passengers, our system relies to heavily on shape and every player being good in their individual role. Fleck played all but 1 game last season, so his contribution was clearly valued. In other words, he was instrumental to our success.

And considering he was top of the assist charts, your claim that he is "sloppy in possession" makes you look a bit of a wally.

We’ll see as the season goes on whether he’ll be a regular or not. He’s certainly not an automatic selection any more. Freeman is quicker in thought and deed and a brighter, better footballer than Fleck.

Yes but we’ll have to be very patient mate. He’s not suddenly going to produce a well-taken goal and provide a vital assist for a last-minute equaliser out of nowhere, is he?

The answer is there wasn’t any of the above. I do respect Fleck. I wouldn’t select him at the moment though. He isn’t so good that he walks back into the team. Far from it. His position is now occupied by a player of greater talent and football intelligence, Freeman. That’s football. That’s how it should be. Alternatively we can talk silly S2 bollocks about our favourite players ‘deserving a go...’.

I've just returned home Pinchers, as delighted with the result as I am, I assume your understated humour is directed at those who see football in the blackest and whitest of terms? Can't tell you how pleased and delighted I am with getting a point at Chelsea, add to which our neighbours lost at home, so could there be a better way to celebrate than to acknowledge this Sheffield double?

I know the forum is all about opinions and nothing wrong with everybody having their own view.

What I would suggest however, is to re-read some of the previous posts on this thread. Long time posters writing off Robinson after just a couple of games total playing time. Being first to shoot from the hip does not win any prizes. The overreaction to the Leicester defeat by some, was frankly pathetic.

Please remember you don't have to have a for or against opinion, on every player.
You can just sit back, wait and see how things turn out and then form a considered view.

You're missing my point again, either deliberately or otherwise. I'm not saying he should walk back in the team, I'm not saying he's my favourite player; I'm saying that his contribution for United over the past 3 years should not be overlooked.

You say you respect Fleck, I'm not saying your a liar, but if you read any of your recent comments about him, you'd struggle to see that respect.
