At 2-0 this team would have done something else even more ridiculous to fuck it up

That's the entire club in a nutshell "awww poor old shitty, scabby old us"

If it's going well they'll find a way through it's piss poor stinking third rate shit attitude to fuck it up

And then blame something else instead of itself

Interesting how opinion is divided here.

I don't think it should have been disallowed, but can see why that call was made.
No it shouldn't have been disallowed
The only player blocking the goalkeepers vision was Moore and he was two yards onside

But we have had VAR for 90 minutes this season and we all knew it would fuck us over the first chance it got

For those that have played football (at any level) If that ball comes out to you on the edge of the box, then you hit it first time and it flies into the back of the net… it’s a goal every day of the week! You wheel away much like Burrows did!
It always been a goal… until the nerds in the booth made it ‘their’ game!!

When burrows struck the ball Souza was not in line with the keeper and subsequently the goal should have been allowed
Needless to say as soon as the ball went out to the edge of the box for burrows to shoot Souza should have been out and away so there was no doubt

It was a straightforward decision.

Their defenders came out of the six yard box fast. Our front two didn't. And Campbell was in the eyeline of the keeper.
Campbell was in the eyeline of the keeper, = not when the ball was struck

Not going on a campaign against the officials it was a marginal call but it was so important and deserves a thread of it's own.

Do people thing it was right it was disallowed?
Yes, according to the rules it was offside. The goalkeepers view was impeded

What I would say is that the keeper has already started to move/dive, so he has clearly seen it. Had Vinni not been there, he would not have saved it

It doesn't deserve a thread of it's own at all, it got ruled out right or wrong and we lost, end of

Agreed after seeing it on replay admittedly. Although the offside law definitely needs clear tweaking to make it “common sense” it’s too hard for the casual supporter/ fan who pays for the sport to exist to understand what is going on quickly. It needs to be more black and white. 2 options scrap offside completely or go back to the old any player offside rules out goals rather than keepers view impeded etc

The ONLY player who knows whether his view was impeded or not is the Gk. I don’t know how the officials can decide whether he was unsighted or not. How do they know his eyes weren’t closed or he was looking at a balloon in the crowd. It’s a nonsense.

Define the eyeline of the keeper.
Personally without any tinted glasses it is impossible to do that. You could measure distance and angles etc and make a mathematical equation but the Laws of the game are not fit for purpose. Go back to the circa 2003 era of if you are offside you are offside regardless of where the player started
