Not going on a campaign against the officials it was a marginal call but it was so important and deserves a thread of it's own.

Do people thing it was right it was disallowed?

It was a straightforward decision.

Their defenders came out of the six yard box fast. Our front two didn't. And Campbell was in the eyeline of the keeper.

It's a sickener. And VAR was always gonna play a part in a final with united. But in the prem I rec the goal is disallowed, and given we were playing with prem standards, let's not whinge

It's offside. He's clearly interfering with play and would have been ruled out 20 years ago is an official saw it. Vini is stood almost infront of the keeper and then moves to the side. He's in the keeper's eyeline and impeding his ability to dive. No doubt Wilder will use it as an excuse, because he's not someone with the integrity to ever take responsibility, but it's a clear and obvious offside.

We would be fuming if that was at the other end and it had been allowed.

Hand on heart, if that happens at the other end, I'd have no qualms about it.

And nothing changes the fact that if there's no VAR, that goal stands. If that happens against Bristol City nobody is talking about it.

It could have gone either way and the ref took the easy option. If it had been against us I’d have wanted it disallowed though.
If it had been against us it wouldn't have been disallowed!

As soon as I saw the reply I knew it would be scrubbed. I don't see how anyone with a modicum of objectivity can complain. Souza was right in front of their keeper and it went in the side he was obscuring.
Two Sunderland players to the right playing him on?

Sorry - that’s incorrect. When it’s hit - no offside player is in front of him
