The derby

Dangerous this one now, we’ve just won 3 on the bounce. I looked at the last promotion season in 22/23 and we did manage a winning streak of 3+ games on 5 occasions, let’s see if we’re still capable.

as i saying yesterday nobody will remember tuesday but they will remember sunday. its interesting the stats before the most recent sheffield derbies 2017/18 2018/19. going into the derby we had won 2 & lost 2.

interestingly we went into bouncing day on the back of a home defeat to Norwich

before the 1st 0-0 draw in return fixture we beat ipswich away in the FA cup

Before the Last Home Derby. the 2nd 0-0 it was on the back of a home defeat to Notts Forest

Before the Last Derby. the 3rd 0-0 we had just beaten West Brom away & actually it was apart of we had a 7 game spell we won 6 & Derby was only 1 we failed to get 3pts

& interestingly its dejavu. we come into this derby on the back of 3 consecutive wins & just like we did march 2019

They were putting our score up in the 60's just like we did.

Nowt new here.
Every match in the division was put up back then - there were tiles around the pitch perimeter each team identified by a letter and the scores underneath with the codes in the programme if I remember right?

Just to be clear for the sake of the young ‘uns. We are talking wooden cricket score tiles - none of your electric witchery!

Seen the odd person over the age of 10 on social media saying we should beat them 3 or 4 nil on paper - amazing there’s people who’ve can’t have ever been to a derby game yet.

Organisation, bottle and composure gets the result. Form and quality of team goes out the window. Being the away team is much easier IMHO.

I’d take a 0-0 and then look to spank them at Pigland.
