I can’t recall any sendings off in a derby game? Come on, someone point out an obvious one to me?

Also don’t come shouting at me for tempting fate when we go down to 8 men and lose 0-0

Hodges in 1993 at the Sty

Johnson for them at the Sty in 2012, though he’d just been subbed so they still had 11 men.

Absolute classic. He’d gone off down the tunnel, was summoned back by the ref, and reappeared in a string vest and a very bad mood to be sent back down the tunnel again.

Cue much hilarity in the away end.

Sty memries.

The only thing that can undo us is ill discipline and a stupid dangerous foul that gives them an advantage , Chris needs to be implicit in his instructions - don't go near the red mist line. I'd rather lose a goal than a man.

Keep 11 on the pitch at all times and we cake walk the win.. our team is superior from 1-11 - don't blow it.

Soumare shouldn't even be on the bench he hasn't got the football intelligence.

Can't remember which particular match it was of the three but there was a red card in the series of 0 - 0 'wins' during Wilder's first spell.

I know it was at Bramall Lane and around the 60th minute and we battered them for much of the game, unfortunately we still couldn't find the net after said sending off.

It may have been Jos Luhukay the manager for them (it was his very first match in charge if it is this match).

Thats the only chance they have of levelling things on the pitch, getting our players sent off. They know it, just hope our players know it! And also there coming to clog us!

Kilgallon at the swamp..
For a challenge which was only a red card in the addled mind of Mike Dean. Shocking decision which turned the match.

Glenn Loovens. Two yellow cards. Here's a great example of how not to tackle when you've already been booked:

It’d be interesting to ask someone with a degree of knowledge on footballers contracts if you could fine a player a big amount for getting a red in just two games per season.. i doubt it’d be legal.

Happened right in front of me on the family stand, everyone around me was furious at first cause it looked like he was going to get away with it 😂

Exactly this.
The only way they can get a result is through red cards.
Unfortunately that's a bit worrying in the fact that we have a bit of form in that department.
Wilder needs to drill into them no rash challenges, no back chatting to the referee and no retaliation just walk away stick the ball in the back of their net instead that will hurt them far more than pushing someone or sticking your head in their face.

Remember a shocker from David Hirst in 92 at the Lane?

Two footed and nasty
