Agree with your points. But I don’t see a pathway for him to play in that side when they go and spend like they have this summer. Spending like they have stops the young ones getting a chance. If he does amazing for us I would at least like the option for him to stay on.

If you’re looking at the pathway for the next season, you’re right. But this is a long term issue – Chelsea won’t be looking at him in a 1-2 years timetable, but a longer 3-5+. Henderson has been on a similar path, and at no stage in any of his loans the last three seasons would Man U have accepted any buy clause at the end of the loan. Ampadu’s still just 19, and has already established himself in a national team ahead of more experienced players, and has had Champions League experience. Chelsea are under no pressure to sell at this stage, don’t want to sell him, and if they were to suddenly change their minds and make him available there would be a load of clubs interested that would immediately rule us out.

We have had buy options in some recent loans, but these are all for players their parent clubs have wanted to move on. It is completely unrealistic to expect that in this loan if it comes off. We seemingly weren’t even willing to discuss a permanent deal for RND with Luton, and that’s despite him likely in a year’s time having two good LWBs ahead of him here.

Plays centrally in a back three here for RB Leipzig, but looks capable of playing RCB and DCM too. It's that kind of versatility that can give him the amount of playing time he's after from a loan. This video isn't a highlights video, but shows his every involvement in one match:

 
Ampadu would be a genuinely fantastic addition. I thought Chelsea would use him this season.

Even though he didn't play loads last season, if you just watched Spurs v Leipzig in the CL you'd have seen he was fantastic at CB that night.

He can also play DM. He's also really young.

We can't just "demand" a loan to buy option, but I'd be drooling about our future prospects if this was a thing that became reality.

Besides the fact that the Premier League footballer, Chambers, clearly isn't crap... 🙄
Chambers was literally Arsenal's best player at the Lane this season. I appreciate that was a long time ago now, but didn't you go/watch that?

He was also Fulham's best player when they got relegated.
Arsenal spent £16mill on him as a teenager.

If he does sign, I do think he’ll need to be eased in at RCB if that’s the intention, as the way he plays he is much more suited to a deeper more central role. He can run with the ball when needed, but he’s more naturally the type when attacking to hold back and keep making themselves available and then more the ball quickly on. While we of course want two for every position, I kind of think if it is him that comes in he might if there were injuries to any of Basham, Egan, or Norwood, be the first one to step in.

From that vid, he looks pretty awful as a defender but good on the ball. Poor in the air. caught napping a couple of times and too slow to react. It's unfair to judge a player on one game but that doesn't fill me with confidence!
 
Chambers would be a great loan signing but I doubt he'd come on loan to us if he wasn't going to be first choice. I suspect other clubs in the league might offer him that.
 
If it’s Chambers or Ampadu then who gets dropped as neither are coming in to warm the bench?

Wouldn’t imagine they would want to loan him out for more minutes then sit him on the bench behind the second strongest defence in the PL. Just sayin
