3 h 10 min (179.8 mi) via M5 and M1

I used to travel regularly to Taunton and Yeovil.

Bristol, 3 hours, Yeovil or Taunton 4 hours.

I've done Exmouth to Sheffield in about 3hrs 45 mins on a Sunday with a brief stop north of Worcester without going lairy.

Must be like Driving Miss Daisy with you.

For those who could make it, how did Riley and O'Shea play, after their first starts tonight?

Cheers!

Back to the OP

Riley - took awhile to get upto pace with the game & got caught out on the odd occasion early on defensively but grew into the game. Got bombarded second half as they piled down their left flank but did OK. A lot of potential there, he's comfy with both feet & not afraid to run at his opposite full back. Put a rate ball into Lavery first half who forced their keeper into a good save with the header

O'Shea - busy again last night as he was when he came on Saturday. Can see why Wilder's brought him here as he buys into the 'high-press', 'high energy' style of play. Again he's comfy on the ball but he'll be kicking himself more than anyone that he didn't bury his chance first half. Good signs though I like the look of him

AAAAANYWAY

O'Shea had a chance to give us all 3 points. Should have scored.
Lavery and Fleck both could have netted but for the keeper and the inside of the post both would have.

As for their performances... Riley is a good player, tidy and put's a good cross in. Better going forward than defensively.
O'Shea is neat and tidy and moves the ball quicker than Duffy but as an all round package Duffy is trickier and asks more questions.

Couldn't get to Bristol last night for work reasons, but was at Posh on Saturday and thought O'Shea had more of a physical presence than say Duffy or Coutts, similar to Fleck but taller, is that the way people saw it last night?

He's definitely more of a physical presence but I think Duffy puts himself about anyway especially for a small attacking player. It must be the scouser in him.

Because he's a failed footballer and a failed musician with a drink problem. There's a deep sadness in him which he deals with through the medium of 3rd rate forum trolling.

Is Top Cat Geetarman from blades mad? He was a Rotherham bred “rockstar” who also just happened to be a bellend too.

It certainly is.

You know how he always takes the piss out of the superfluous 'm' in pommpey 's username. Well that's coming from "Geetarman".

Not a very bright lad really.

I left Bristol after the final whistle, and was back in Newbury (60 miles away) by 1am. That's Great Western Railway for you.

I left at the final whistle (after standing with Tyler Durden for the whole of the second half, so me and North Somerset Blade can vouch he was there) and ended up walking practically the whole way home cos my missus fucked up where she was picking me up from, I didnt get back til nearly quarter to 11 ...... and I only live in North Bristol FFS!!!!

The single worst poster on blades mad in my time posting on there. Despite the presence of the likes of Lendegoey. This bloke offered absolutely nothing of worth to the forum. His only contributions were sarcastic bitchy comments at those who actually talked about football and fantasy tales of his rockstar lifestyle and legal secretary girlfriend.

Exactly.

Pretty much every single post has been some needless swipe at somebody or other. Unfortunately for him, we know how much of a joke he is. Therefore he's as shit at forum trolling as he was as a "pro-footballer" and "axeman".

God it's all become clear now. Should have twigged last night thinking about it.

Isn't he the one who started offering people out after coming on to have pointless digs and when he inevitably got some back, said they were disrespecting him as his Mum had recently passed away, even though obviously no one had any idea what he was dealing with and were just normally responding to his initial abuse?

Even though I felt for him as I've been there myself, thought it was wrong to go off like that. Based on his previous it was as though he just wanted to get at his usual subjects of abuse.

I think geets will also need proof that you were there.

In future, can everyone who goes to a Blades match please take a photo of yourself in front of the main stand holding a copy of a newspaper with the date clearly visible and your match day ticket.
Then send it in to a 'Proof I was at the match' thread - to be organised by Roygbiv

I assume the divorce papers are in the post? ;)

Riley grew into the game, he was off the pace and out of position early on but soon got to grips with what was wanted.

O'Shea can put a great cross / ball into the box, but he drifts a bit for me and doesn't do much defensively. He also missed a sitter in the first half.
Fleck again the stand out performer last night, he just seems to get better and better.

Ah that explains why he said he wants to meet me in the Cricks on Saturday.

He's bringing his "missus" to cheer him on apparently.

I should be there from 1pm ish and will be bringing my autograph book so that the Poundland Pelè can sign it.

He's easy enough to deal with. You just have to remind him of who he is then he eventually gets back in his box.

This is true. He used to troll after chucking out time at the Dog and Wanker, usually joining in on the pile on about 'how many games you go to', innit? As you say, he has some obsession with the extra 'm' in my login. Awww.

And don't forget, he earned a lot more money playing semi-pro (see 'Sunday Pub' Dog and Wanker U-15s) football than he did in his as-yet undisclosed 'professional' career. Sells cars these days or summat. Gets a bit defensive when you start talking about his 'geetars' and his supposed axemanship.

29, still lives with his mum, and sleeps in the same bedroom he did as a child. In Toytown.

Can Foxy not take a register?

Can Foxy not take a register?
He could do but when he shouts Top Cat s name out everyone will think he hasn't made the match because who's going to own up to being him?:)

In short, the register will just be a waste of time, there will be too many wagging it. ;):D
