It shows what a good player he is that he's been off it this season and still leads the league for most assists. Yes, he can lose the ball, and have an off game like he did last night, but there aren't many players in this division I'd swap him for (perhaps Hackney?)

We should appreciate what we have for the final ten or so matches, as Gus won't be playing for us next season and we'll certainly miss his individual brilliance and creative spark when he's gone.

Have a look at the through ball he played for Burrows goal, plus the 7 other assists he's got in the last few games...and tell me which other player in our team is capable of any of them. I agree he was largely crap last night but signing someone like Piroe would be pointless without someone like Hamer feeding him
