WAWAW is basically the sound that most people think of when they think of the pigs, that rusty blue ground opposite the remains of what was Charlie Brown's exhaust and tyre place, fat Tango without a shirt on, "save our Owls" rattling their tins on Fargate, etc.

I went on the Friday there because I wanted to be with Blades to (hopefully) see them lot lose. Sadly that didn't happen but I was a bit taken aback when I saw the Pigs logo on their page, it annoyed me because I usually go there, but now I know the full story I understand that the guys a businessman and sadly he didn't get the rivalry like we all know but he seems to know. The pub was actually decent to be fair and much better beer than it was under the Scholar. Anyway, I'll go back there.

The place used to be the Hermitage. Not sure how long it has been there, but when I was a teenager that and the Landsdowne were the two biggest Blades pubs away from the immediate vicinity of the Lane. On a match day there was hundreds of drinkers spilling on to the streets. Times may have changed, but it still fills up on match days and that pub is part of Blades history. There shouldn't be any evidence of the pigs on its walls or its social media.

To be fair The Leadmill has no ties to either club and is clearly doing this as a one-off to make a few extra quid. Venues such as theirs are pretty skint these days and I love the place. I'd hate to see it close. If that means milking a few pigs for some Carlsberg money, that's fine by me.
