Cannot remember ever leaving Bramall Lane with such a sense of relief that the season is over.
I , like so many others, thought that the appointment of Adkins was a positive one. He talked the talk and despite the 4-0 drubbing at the start of the season I thought things couldn't get any worse and that the only way was up.
Jim Phipps was doing his bit by tweeting encouraging words, but it still didn't get much better on the pitch.
I still believed that Adkins could turn it round tho and was encouraged as he started to move out players who we haven't really missed.
Unfortunately it didn't get turned round, we appear to have a divided board and a set of players who, although have been in a fairly settled team for the last quarter of the season, still look as though they've never seen one another in their lives.
I'm relieved it's all over.
If Adkins goes it should be by Monday, then the next manager can spend the summer bringing in his own players.
I'll miss the start of next season , but hopefully by the time I do get to go to the Lane all will have been settled.......I live in hope.

UTB my fellow forum members, enjoy your summer and let's hope next season is the season we finally get promotion.

Relief indeed after that utter shower of crap.

Norah, God bless her, is a Londoner, big fan of Wenger.

Her idea of a weekend relief is me taking her Up The Arsenal for a good two hours!
It's like shovin' a penny dahn Fargate.

If you think like that, as the voice of reason, things are truly, truly bad!
