Ok I'll rephrase my question if you accumulate fewer points than the team that finish 4th bottom where do you finish ?
If we add ourselves into that table, we'd need to finish on more points than 3rd bottom

Socrates you are not

I understand what you are trying to say , but the fact is if we had got 31, 32, 33 34 or 35 we would have been relegated, so 31 points wouldn't have kept us up, u can't just add 1 point to what 3rd bottom got and say that would have kept us up, because u have to factor in what 4th bottom got

Err, wrong question. It doesn’t matter what 4th from bottom accumulates. If you are looking for historical totals you just need a better goal difference than 3rd from bottom

I understand what you are trying to say but unfortunately league tables don't work that way , using the same logic Luton would only need to have got 1 more point than us to win the league, because Burnley didn't need to get over 100 points

What can I say you've outsmarted all of us

Just noticed Koleosho at Burnley has been ruled out for season.

Forest have banned two of their longest serving players from training and transfer listed them.

If we were to beat Brentford... People might start to wonder a little...

Fortunately where we end up in the league is based on the next 30 matches and not previous form.
23 actually. And that's the worrying bit.

Where are we going to get 30 odd points from the next 23 games? 10 wins or shed loads of draws. We need a Glynn Hodges.

We wish. 23 games left, you can take 8 games off with the top 7 and Villa away.

So we have 14 games to realistically get points.
For the sake of positivity. Let's say we get 1 shock win and 2 hard earned draws from those "top 8" matches. That's 5pts + 5pts we have currently.

Another 25pts from 14 would see us onto 35pts which COULD be enough for 17th!

Fag packet stuff here, for my own benefit...

Win half of those 14... That's 21pts (optimistic or what!)
Draw 2... up to 23pts
Lose 5...

Total 33pts. Well that'd certainly beat Derby's record anyway.

I think we might get relegated...

100% us, Luton & Burnley. We’re nowhere near the standard needed. However all 3 teams need to use this as a way of financially strengthening themselves & growing their commercial income.

Burnley have spent some big money so unless they recoup that in the summer I think they’re the ones in trouble if they are to relegated.

Tresor not being anywhere near good enough is a big issue for them, especially now Koleosho is injured. He's barely been able to get on the pitch and they have £16m to shell out for him in the summer, like it or not.

Odebert was £15m+, doesn't play. Berge for £15m and we know he's going to be no more than decent, Amdouni is ok (£17m), Beyer £15m, Trafford £15m, Ramsey £15m (although might be the same as the Archer deal) and never plays.

Hold everything, 23-8 is 15... PLUS 3 MORE POINTS (!) - THE BLADES ARE STAYING UP...!

Did they sell many or have they just spent the premiership money? We know how dangerous that can be if you don't have a wealthy owner to bail you out if you're relegated. I think they'll either be in trouble or they'll go for it next season in an attempt to return without too much of a hit.

I wouldnt be too sure

Its only happened once since football began - EPL 🤣

That was back in 97/98 - Palace, Bolton & Barnsley

There is usually a team that drops after Xmas - Palace, Fulham?

Forest are in an interesting case, flattering to deceive, crowd behind Cooper, owner looking less so - 2nd season syndrome?

However, the divide between the teams coming up and the rest appears to have grown even since 19/20 when we last came up, to see a newly promoted team in the top 5 at Xmas probably wont happen again1702051232362.png

They sold after relegation but all their departures this summer were loans going back

Blades 1/20 to be relegated
Burnley 2/7 to be relegated.

Now I can accept our price but what makes Burnley superior then us? Kompany?

I actually fancy us to finish above them and smash em at lane, again.
