No-one's suggested Brewster

For now I see him as an impact player, and the bench feels stronger with him on it. Hopefully he can get strong enough and fit enough to start games soon though.

And I believed in Father Christmas
And I looked to the sky with excited eyes
'Till I woke with a yawn in the first light of dawn
And I saw him and through his disguise
I wish you a hopeful Christmas
I wish you a brave new year
All anguish pain and sadness
Leave your heart and let your road be clear
They said there'll be snow at Christmas
They said there'll be peace on Earth
Hallelujah Noel be it Heaven or Hell
The Christmas we get we deserve.

So you'd rather he started then, or just rotted in the reserves?

I love Christmas by the way. Sounds like a right fucking laugh in your house.

I d rather he started and SHOW some potential.
Personally, and by all means disagree, I think over three seasons he has shown very little potential for a lot of outlay.

I love Christmas too. It IS a fucking right laugh in our house.:)

When did Robinson become a left back? Loads have him there but he's not a left back, I'd keep him in a 3 on the left hand side. I'd also bring Laroucci back in as Thomas looks like a kid on a man's pitch. We need to solidify the midfield so Slimane needs to start
Wes
Anel Trusty Robbo
FuriousNorwood Souza Slimane Laroucci McBurnie

Actually, the more I look at my team the more I realise we are screwed

Feel Souza needs dropping and same with Norwood. Brewster to come on in second half.

I see Slimane is travelling to Japan & Korea to play in friendlies, so maybe he'll be knackered, talk of global warming!
I can see Hecky favourite Fleck coming back too to cover left side

Just as an aside, it is notable that even though the fixture is still almost 2 weeks away, ticket sales for the Man U fixture are already higher than the gate for the Newcastle match.

Whatever else they are or how they are performing, it is undeniable that the Man U name is still the biggest draw in the game. Certainly a considerably bigger draw than Newcastle United ever will be regardless of how much money they have or what they become.

wes baldock anel trusty robinson bogle slimane souza hamer larouchi mcburnie with archer and mcatee coming on for the last 20

We would be starting with that team as you’ve only got 10 men . We are shit enough with 11 !
Give us a fighting chance and pick another player !
As ever UTB !

It would be very ironic if we stumble across our best defence of Baldock, Anel, Trusty and Robbo all due to injuries, all this is obviously if Baldock returns? I also would’ve liked Arblasters quality, energy and athleticism in the middle of the park too because we haven’t got any with all 3 attributes.
Ironic, maybe. We have surely reached the stage where our starting lineup, tactics and substitutions are driven by injuries more than anything else.

How far off is it for our rejected players like JLT, Fleck and Osborne, leading the fight back? Hecky wanted to keep everyone, remember?

We need to be adding Jimmy Muir to the squad!

It doesn’t matter a jot what team he puts out

Same half arsed un motivated devoid of any tactics performance will happen

If he’s still here by then I’m taking my season ticket back

Like that team for no other reason that the imposter called Souza is dropped

Ladies and gentlemen.
This is what a supposedly true fan does.

We can only hope he's a man of his words.

I was all for switching to 4-5-1 given that we haven't really got five suitable defenders. And then I read this thread, and realised we haven't got five midfielders either. You have to laugh, or else you'll cry.

451 is the set up we need against man utd if baldock is fit play bogle slimane souza hamer mcattee/larrouchi mcburnie up top

Play the opposition

If it’s Maguire & Varane play Archer & Brewster, and tell midfield to stop fuckin abhart with it and turn a slow defence

If Martinez is on get McB to pull onto him and get crosses in

Either way we need to be a lot less passive and have a go, these are there for the taking

He will never ever abandon the 3-5-2 model. I just cannot see him doing it unless forced to during games. He is set in his ways like an old curmudgeon.

It will be:

Wes
Bogle/Baldock (if fit)
Trusty
Anel
Robinson
Thomas/Larouci
Hamer
Souza
McAtee
McBurnie
Archer

He just cannot change his tactics. And he wont.
