If Davies and Shackleton are fit and we still have Hamer and Blaster we should send him out until
January

Could be a move until Jan, plenty of minutes, bring him back as a new signing to cover injuries or augment what we already have. Could go to Stockport, Mansfield, Barnsley, Rotherham etc

Davies fit? Are you having a laugh??
Seriously a loan would be good for him, unfortunately we do not have enough cover in midfield. Similar situation to Osula last season.

He's already proved he's more than good enough as cover= DO NOT SEND OUT.
I'd rather he stayed.

But he could stay as cover and only get meaningless minutes off the bench and a cup game against a league 1 team. Or he could start every game for a league 1 team. Clearly that would further his development as a player more than staying and give us more information as to the player he is and his potential.

Would depend totally on the team he goes to.

I do think if he stayed he'll get more than enough minutes for us off the bench/ maybe even a few starts. Brutal schedules in the champ.

Completely understand and your rationale is good, but of the bits I've seen he looks wll capable and with a bit of luck he'll force a starting place.

There's every chance he stays and gets a good amount of starts in the Championship and looks as good as against Wrexham, we don't know do we.

But with Davies to possibly come back at some point, who's got loads of PL experience and so proven he's above Championship level, we might just be giving him a chance to earn the considerable wage he'll be on.

Lots of factors at play that we aren't fully aware of, I trust Wilder and the club to get it right.

Didn't do Arblaster any harm going to Port Vale for a few months

This - it wouldn’t be the worst idea in the world to give him 4/5months of league one football and see what he can show.

As long as it’s at a sensibly selected side (unlike Seriki being sent to a dogshit side who were relegated setting his development back a year or so) and with assurances he’d actually play (unlike Harrison Neil when he was at Stevenage and never got a kick)

That said I’d like an extra midfield brought in before allowing it. We have no cover there really 3 players for 2 positions if we let him go (blaster/souza/hamer) is nowhere near enough.

He could stay and be in and around the first team.
Adapting to their mindset and being coached with the first team.
Under the guidance of United coaches.
Making a start in the cup games.
Coming on off the subs bench for a few games and making the odd start.

Or loaned out, where he might get more chances to start more games.
Under a different manager and coaches, adapting to a League 1 mindset.
Returning to United in January (Hopefully uninjured).
Having to re-adjust to our style of play and our coaching staff.
This coming at the business end of the season when the pressure will be on.

It is a difficult call.

Bedwetters
Fax machine broken
Gone to Villa
'Gerrim out on loan to league 2 club'
He's having his 20th medical.
I smell pork

Just heard from a previously very reliable source that it's likely we lose Peck in the summer, even if we go up.

  • Prem: He's considered behind Vini and Blaster, so isn't guaranteed many minutes, so he would rather be at a club training with better players and not playing much, than sat training with us and not playing much.
  • Champ: he thinks he's ready to move up and continue his growth, even if we lost Vini and he was guaranteed minutes. Trajectory momentum is seen as key in young players, and he wants to continue that, jumping while his trajectory is high
Importantly, and the reason my contact told me....the owners think he is our best opportunity to cash in to improve the squad. Blaster was 'the one' from an asset value POV, but his injury has put the brakes on that. Sydie is seen as the one we can sell and get a net squad improvement

I don't blame him. He's been fantastic for us this season, and from nowhere really, and I wish him well. We will get great money for him and maybe one day we smile as he smashes it on the biggest stage, as we play on a slightly lesser stage

So much for new owner investment. Already flogging the assets we have. Not a good sign if true.

Hopefully your contact is wrong.

That said you could argue sell Souza and pair Peck and Arblaster at the top level if we go up.

I also think if we went up we need to move to 4-3-3 which would newb they could all play. Wilder reenforced midfield before when promoted.
