What do you think about match?

Need the first goal.
We need the first two, actually.

Like that's going to happen.
It means a performance like away at Barnsley, which incidentally is the last time we put in a performance.
Bash was dominant in midfield and that's why we bossed it that day.

If Bash is CB then we are screwed

Probably been mentioned before but if we're going to get to Wembley this season, we're going to have to do something no other Blades team has done before and win on the road in the play-offs.

Going tomorrow but more in (faint) hope than any expectation.

Well we will know tomorrow night, just maybe they will put in a performance that will see us through, I can see us doing it.

Fixtures are out 17th June, we can all hope for a Saturday game against Blackpool, a first competitive league game against Burton Albion and some favourable festive fixtures.

Season kicks off on the 9th August, we will have the best pitch in the league, hopefully a new management setup, a few new players, hopefully some CBs and a sharp looking new kit.

Bring it on.

Sheffield United board members will be follow match with fans :) Good idea.

Just like Preston did at Chesterfield - let's hope that it's one of those years.....

Where Basham plays is key...missed him massively in the middle of midfield in the second half on Thursday, probably a lot of the reason we ended up losing.

I agree. Basham has to play in Midfield or we will get outplayed and outfought there. If that means Clough swallowing his pride and bringing back Collins or putting Alcock in with "accident waiting to happen" McEverley then so be it. We have to take the risk.

Good luck brothers :)

We've never won an away playoff game I think.

Mind you we'd never lost a home one until t'other night...

Blades: Howard, Freeman, McEveley, Alcock, Harris, Flynn, Basham, Coutts, Murphy, Done, McNulty

Good good! Mcnulty and Matty Done both start.

Back 4.

Freeman. Alcock. McEveley. Harris. ----- nowhere near good enough.

However, has Clough been bold though?

Alcock. McEveley. Harris. ------Back 3.. now we're talking.

Coutts Basham

Freeman Flynn Murphy

McNulty Done.

If he'd picked Baxter or Reed instead of Freeman I might have believed it!!

Harris can't play in a back 3

That must be the smallest defence in league history!

Harris can't play in a back 3

I know, I'd have played Collins not Harris.

I'd also have played Doyle not Coutts.

I'm also absolutely pissed off that Done didn't play from the start last Thursday. I honestly thought the manager chose not to play him and now I know. This mysterious groin problem hasn't suddenly cleared up in 3 days.

flynn/murphy/done/mcnulty looks mighty fine on paper. i can only assume the object is to not try to compete in midfield at all, hope defence blocks it then pulisball

The first game, Done was introduced from the bench as we needed him, potentially for 3 games. This is now shit or bust, so if he can get a goal, even if he comes off at half time, itis worth it.

To be fair to Clough, he might just be risking him this game with Davies out.we'll see.

I'm actually completely relaxed about this. We'll win 3.1 or limp out

Coutts must be engaged to Clough's God-daugher it's the only explanation.

Heart breaking result failed in the play-offs again.

Which ex-player wanted got angry last night? Woodhouse, Devlin, Deano or Holdsworth maybe?
