I really don't think form is that important going into play offs.

My biggest concern will be whether or not we can put our best squad out and give fringe players a couple of games before we hit the play offs

Play offs are about fitness and mentality of players going into them.

We need harris, Kennedy, murphy, Flynn, done and Davis all back firing again.

Probably need McE as well. I doubt TK can play each game and we need Basham in the Middle.

Rochdale winning. Bollocks.

We simply cannot go to the last game of the season needing a result. As Blades, we all know exactly what that would mean.

If Rochdale win today, it's the proverbial squeaky bum time v Orient. I fully believe that if we lose at Orient and Rochdale somehow jam a win that day, we won't make the play offs.

Swindon will finish 4th, it's a question of who finishes 5th. Interestingly Chesterfield beat McDons twice in three games this season whereas Swindon did the double over Chesterfield.

Imagine if Chessy lose and we get spanked on Saturday while Rochdale win. We'd go into the last game with any team potentially finishing 7th but a draw probably seeing us both through. See: West Germany vs Austria 1982.
 
I listened to the Rochdale game and they should have won by more than the solitary goal. I cannot see many players being rested at Brisbane Road - if we go into the Chesterfield match needing to win the casualty at Northern General is going to need extra staff to deal with the cardiac arrests.

To be fair, missing out on the play offs would be the up there with the biggest United fuck ups. Nigel better getting his running shoes on and I wouldn't let the players do a lap of honour!

Problem is losing and getting more injuries. Anymore and we would have a 2nd string out for Chesterfield. Might be best to close my eyes for a few weeks, because as you say this would be monumental.

So Nige will see it as a very difficult game, stating that orient will be fighting for their lives.
We will set up to defend the point we started with and royally screw up in the process.
We will need points vs Chesterfield and that will make our lads freeze with fear and expectation as Chessie take the piss and the points and we finish 7th

Of course we are very capable of losing both games. We can't keep a clean sheet and rarely score more than 1 goal.
 



Goal difference could come and bite us in the bum. Orient will be nervous - best chance of clinching it. Last match at the Lane the players and fans will be a bag of nerves. Orient are scratching for players - couldn't fill the subs bench even, especially defenders - we need to be positive there.
