I don't think that's too much of an Ambition, especially when the club has to Edit what was actually said anyway.


I'm sure the Official Supporters Club would actually like to know what BIFF and the Club has actually done behind closed doors....

You should know that being in "BIFF" but nothing I really feel the need to post on here. It was IGNORED by the blades independent FANS (yeah, right) forum. It is by far the single biggest waste of time and effort, where a fan who puts money into the club is ignored or ideas not deemed worthy enough for a simple generic response. BIFF is a clique of 'superfans' where any words that reach the fans are horrifically watered down so as to make the club and BIFF look good and that they aren't a mere tool that the club is using to make the fans seem part of something.

Why not make someone who QUESTIONS the club the SCM or maybe someone who hasn't been a puppet in BIFF. A real fan, but the problem is you wouldn't find a person who is an 'ordinary fan' to do it because they really have become frankly tired with the powers that be at SUFC.

Foxy and Linz are normal and real fans.....I know.

I get this in my job. My role is to improve the business processes, using ideas generated by the people that actually do the job, as opposed to some manager sitting in an office somewhere. We get lots of people suggesting what they think are fabulous ideas, but when you delve into them further the facts just don't stack up. We give constructive feedback and most people understand, but some do conclude we're not listening. Just can't please some people.

I've instigated enough mischief in my time to cope with what some people say behind a keyboard. Usually however, I am more deserving of a bit of grief

It wasn't just my idea, I ran these past a few I go to matches with, all thought were good. More than enough to warrant some feedback.

Now this is where we agree. Feedback is so important. Some people might not like it if you don't take their idea forward, but if you never tell them why then they've every right to feel aggrieved. Doesn't take much to send you a brief letter but the benefits are worth even more. Hopefully something we'll see improving with this appointment.

Can I remind the Blades Mad members currently having a pop at us over there, we run this place for anyone who wants to use it, it's a PUBLIC forum, paid for, run and maintained by ourselves (not a company, or a group).

You are all welcome to read, respond to and take part in any of our content, that is why we do it in the first place. It put here by us, for you too! We aren't trying to horde away anything simply for our members only to read and be part of.

Having a pop at us because we do stuff that Blades Mad currently aren't makes no sense whatsoever, what would you like us to do? petition FootyMad to post the content we produce so that you guys can have it over there? Unlikely, given that I'm not even allowed to respond to critisism of myself on there.

We are all Blades, we are all after the same thing... Why do some people refuse to recognise that?

Like I said, there hasn't been a meeting since November. If it was a point they wanted to put before a meeting, you wouldn't have got any feedback until the subsequent meeting, which was tonight.

If our resident wrist-slasher can see some possible merit in this new appointment, why can't you give it a go? All you've done so far is tell everybody why it's a waste of time, becasue they ignore good ideas.

The only one who seems to be willing to respond to me is currently away.

If people don't want me to post, that's fair enough, I'm not going to fight to be able to.

I'd just rather people formed an opinion based on an actual person, rather than make stuff up about me and my partner, it's up to them though, says more about them than it does about us.

Like I said, this place is for anyone who wants to use it, we run this place and therefore will post content we create and source with the intention of bringing information to other Blades like ourselves. We even pay for the privilage. We don't get or expect anything in return, other than the feeling now and again that we might be helping someone out there stay in touch with their club a little more. Apologies if that offends anyone.

There is no us and them, we are all Blades, we are United.... Sigh, if only that were still the case.

you have been quite quite vocal in your critism thoughtout this thread...which is fine.

However you seem to be ignoring requests for you t0 tell us of the ideas you sent to BIFF. Many of us hav put our ideas on here so why not put yours so we can openly discuss them ?

I am amazed by some of the comments made by fellow Blades on here about fellow Blades , if you go on Bladesmad and you chose to only read the chavvy posts I think it says a lot more about you than the "chavs" that have made up the threads !

There is a wide range of posters on Bladesmad of varying ages and some healthy debate ... should there be an age limit on posting on a public forum ... say 35 so you hoity toitys don't have to read what the future fans are saying ? , should there be an IQ test , where no one below the IQ of Pinchy can post ?

You asked for Dars post tonight and the aloofness of posters on here is what puts me off this site , tonight has been a poor show from the posh Blades forum !

If you are responding to what I posted, then I'd ask you to let me know where I've made a comment about other Blades. I regularly read the majority of posts on Blades Mad and wouldn't dream of categorising or pulling down anyone. I've met many people from Blades Mad at matches, even "argued" with stewards about telling their young lads off for standing on a seat to try and see some of the match. I don't really see how that puts me in a category or says anything about me.

If aloofness is measured by expressing opinions that it's unfair to simply abuse someone for their weight, or how good their lad is at football, then I guess you've hit the nail on the head there.

I've been a little busy to read everything, so I've mainly responded to the parts critisising us. I will however be reading everything and as always, if people on here have overstepped the mark and abused people in any way then it will be dealt with and infractions will be given as always, no matter who they are.

Yes, everybody is entitled to an opinion, and I agree that an entire forum shouldn't be slagged because of the actions of a few. I think you would probably find a concensus for that view on here too.

I hope you would agree that factions on both forums haven't covered themselves in glory tonight. As I said earlier, it works both ways. And as Foxy said earlier, we are all supposed to be Blades.

Members of this forum were disgusted by some of the retarded comments by a handful of posters on BM, and members of BM were upset by the way a handful of posters on here responded to it. It all came about because emotions around the club & the fanbase are running high just now. If we agree with that, shall we just move on?

Swiss, I've always been positive about the Blades. Positivity is about recognising we should be doing things better, being annoyed about the mistakes and not wanting them to be made is positive. It probably shouldn't matter because it's only a bleedin' football club, but it does.
My positive belief has always been that United can be a much better club than they have been throughout a large part of my life. The potential was demonstrated for just one season only three years ago.
Being annoyed by mediocrity or negativity or complacency or crap decision-making is a positive thing.

ST sales will make or break the club.

I just hope he not only looks at forums for ideas but also talks extensively to other fans for ideas and crucially does not just ask existing ST holders for ideas but also lapsed ST holders and those who have never had one as to what would persuade them to get one.

My advice - chuck out the ST selling rule book and come up with something unique. and stick our ideas on the other thread.
