It was disappointing to let the deadline pass without bringing at least one in especially with trusty going for a profit.
It seems the Americans were sticking to the budget set by the Prince pre-season which also is disappointing.
Having said all that ! the new owners aren't going to let us flounder surely having spent big bucks. buying us.
Just seems an opportunity missed.
 
We need another centre midfield / winger / striker.

Wilder was asked today but doesn’t seem like he has any idea.
 
TBH I’ve mellowed in my anger at lack of signings on deadline day. I think incomings may have been dependant on Anel and/or Souza being sold, and they weren’t so nowt in.

However, if they’ve given their heads a wobble and play like they did today it like two of the best championship signing ever, and all for nowt!

If we get behind them and they respond it’s like 2 big signings and they’ll get noticed by the big clubs they crave so win win.
 
Lots of teams appear to be interested, apparently turned down new contact at Southampton so can only imagine he wants to be playing regularly which is fair enough at 31. Seen there is interest from Vancouver so might fancy a nice pay day for remaining 3-4 years of career.

Hopefully Wilder and team have at least tried with this one as kind of player we could do with right now considering the youth on the bench / his ability to play CM and LM (if needed)

Totally agree, his exact words when asked about scope to bring free agents in were "'I dunno I'm just gonna concentrate on that group of players that are giving everything for the shirt" It wasn't just what he said but the tone of voice he used.

All these journalists and people on here saying the takeover is done and it s just the EFL holding it up or there's last bits of paperwork to be signed have got no idea. The same guys on Radio Sheffield were giving us an ITK nod and wink weeks ago that it was done and dusted and here we are at the international break with no new owners.

Credit to Wilder and the team for getting us where we are with all this uncertainty
