If we are to get another striker, surely to add another dimension to our striker options we need height and strength, much as we did when we bought Hanson last term.

Hanson appears to be below the standard needed for next season and Leon doesn't seem too hot so far this year, so how about someone like Charlie Wyke who Bradford bought from Carlisle to replace Hanson?

He wouldn't break the bank but give give us a different type of option up top.

Clarke doesn't seem hot this year? He was on fire when he came back playing for us.

That Wyke looked an embarrassment when he played against us. He was a target man that really didn't like the physical side. He must have bullied league two players but he got schooled by us. Imagine in the championship he would be arguably one of the worst target men there is.

we finished top of league 1 with 100 points, scoring 92 goals last season !

just because Billy, leon and Co havent scored 10 already each in pre-season some are fretting and can't wait to complain - bet these are the same people that didn't feel 100% happy and comfortable with how good we were and how well we did last season after August !
thank the Lord for Walsall beating us throughout the season 3 times , it gave these whingers chance to pipe up again !!

Being jittery and worrying is perfectly understandable after being stuck in the pub league for so long.
Positive mentality and self-belief play an important role in a player's performance. I am sure Chris and his staff will be doing their best to build on the positivity of last season, both on individuals and the squad as a whole. It would be great if the fans could feed into this also.

Being jittery and worrying is perfectly understandable after being stuck in the pub league for so long.
Positive mentality and self-belief play an important role in a player's performance. I am sure Chris and his staff will be doing their best to build on the positivity of last season, both on individuals and the squad as a whole. It would be great if the fans could feed into this also.

Chris is looking for 1 or 2 strikers when he already has 6. So hopefully they aren't going to be squad fillers. How positively can we infer what that means about the 5 who'll remain once he shifts Done ?
All I am saying is that Chris clearly sees his strikers as a potential weak area , and I am heartened that despite their long contracts , he is stating openly that he'd like 1 or 2 more.
The 5 are not on the list , but it's not a fixed list if he finds a better one.
Let's see how the 5 perform up to 31 August - I hope I'm pleasantly surprised !

Done – has had the benefit of showing his talents for an entire year.

Wilder may have changed his initial views based on a few months when he first joined, but I imagine he's fairly confident in his views after a full year. I don't expect a single player listed at the start of summer to be with us come the end of the window.
