Needs changing mate, when things are not working and the players are flat that’s when the manager earns his money, I read on here our thirst effort on target was the 65 minute which trickled into the keepers arms, it’s just not good enough and a change in formation and tactics is what was needed. Hecky is not capable.

If Hecky cannot change the formation and tactics, and all he does is picks what he thinks is his strongest 11 and just leaves them to it and hopes for the best then I want the job, I can do that no problem.
Here what you saying Harry- but to be fair to this management team they took over from a failed Slav team and did/have done better for certain- even being around play offs deserves credit and brownie points to bank.

The injuries are horrendous -so no I have to disagree with you and say they've done better than OK. It's still not dead yet but I can't see us beating any play off contenders over 2 legs we just haven't got a strong enough team with all these injuries - nothing to do with Heccy and Stu- just an appalling injury situation.

Other than a
That would be Middlesbrough who we completely outdid tactically a couple of weeks ago when we had sharp in the side and thrashed 4 1? Injuries are taking a massive toll on us
other than a 36 year old up front we started with a team of first team championship players
A 36 year old the missing link

They do deserve credit, for trying to copy Wilder and playing to the players strengths, it’s worked and it’s got us up the league, fair play to them for that. I still don’t think long term Hecky is the answer purely because when things are not going well in games he has no answer.

The funny thing is if we get into the play offs I think we will go up, purely because on big occasions are players are good enough and can rise to the occasion when there is a loud big crowd there.

Also luck with injuries can decide a season
It can, but generally the teams who are better prepared for the inevitable injuries that come your way, are the ones that are successful.
To leave us so short of cover, after the January break, with only bringing Jebbison back, and signing an injury prone Goode on loan, was nothing short of criminal.Yes, we have had bad luck with injuries, but we left ourselves vulnerable to them, and have shot ourselves in the foot, for the sake of reducing the wage bill, in Jan rather than at the end of the season.

Just got back from Stoke. That was another absolutely shit away performance along the lines of Coventry and Blackburn.

Not even sure anyone played well today, if I had to choose one it would probably be Egan for actual making a couple of forward passes to his teammates. No one else seemed to bother.

Heckingbottom has done a solid job since he took over. Even if we don't end up making it into the play-offs, the form table in the last 19 games would have us near the top if not top. He's done extremely well to get us in with a chance of getting in there. But that effort on the pitch has been largely down to the goal contributions of 36 year old Billy Sharp, and MGW whom we don't even own.

Fair enough, the amount of injuries we've had of late would unsettle even the best of teams, that has to be brought into the equation too. But the squad always lacked depth in terms of real quality, we knew that at the start of the season.

So we've got 7 important games left and I don't think PH will be throwing in the towel. I think today's defeat is damaging, considering Forest and Boro's games in hand. I think we probably have to win 5 of them (or all of our home games) to keep up there. Maybe we will get away with 4 wins and a draw or two.

But I also think there's a bigger picture here. If we don't end up making it into the play-offs and up, the groundwork for rebuilding this squad must begin this summer, whatever division we are in.

Agree to a certain extent, I would have kept moose, he's lazy, injury prone and uncommitted but on his day he's the best striker in this league by a mile

Oh dear,
I am tired of watching this team of poor players. The only player that is PL standard, or could be, is MGW. Most of the rest of them are woeful now. The midfield epitomises this. Norwood should be a breed of pedigree dog ( A pointer) he is really poor most of the time now. Fleck is well over the hill and doesn’t affect the game at all. Berge is so lazy it is unbelievable. He strolls around and most of the time the game passes him by. He prefers to give safe sideways passes. He is 6 ft 5 and never heads the ball. You couldn’t make it up.
Then we have the defence. Fodders I think has done well most of the time. Both full backs can’t cross the ball and find a United player. The three centre backs are too small and pretty poor these days. Then we have the attack. Only Billy and MGW know how to do it successfully. Jebbison and McBurnie seem lost at present.
So where do we go from here? We just keep supporting our team and put up with it. I love United but I am tired of watching crap now. A Blade for endless years knows that it is just like this. Having said that we keep the faith and watch United whatever.

I hope the international fortnight would give most of the players a chance to recuperate and regroup after some poor performances but there was no evidence of that today.

No stand out individual performances, wasteful corners and few actual meaningful chances created on goal against a poor team who aren't going anywhere soon.

More effort needed Tuesday night lads.

Heck’s reminds me of Southgate. Really nice guy , talks well and does a solid job. But always falls at the final hurdle!

The two QPR games are now likely to define our season.

Mid to upper 70s required in terms of points for the play-offs.

Basically 5 wins out of the last 7 games. Seems a tall ask based on current form?

We wait until we know if we can get prem strikers or championship strikers, any striker worth signing will be under contract now, so we have no choice do we.
So do we wait for another two years? By then as before when others think we are interested they go and sign them from under our noses . Our forward line is so weak we should have sorted it months ago before we were dreaming of promotion because as things stand now we wont get promotion because we don't have a goal scorer in the squad apart from a 36 year old. If we keep waiting to sign one he will be around 38.We will be playing Billy when he using a mobilty scooter at this rate.

No, we wait 6 games! What a fucking ridiculous response!

6 to go 4 at home
only down to 8th in it now. so 4 from 6 in play offs
3 points v cherries can put us in 3rd 5 points behind them
and their run in is very hard

Yes we have and you know it
Your talking shit. Weve had Brewster, Sharp, Mcburnie, Burke, Didzy, Moose and Jebbo inside 80 games, oh, and Osula, weve had plenty of strikers having a go, unfortunately not with any joy, but until we know our budget and what league we will be in come July, then why the fuck would we try and get another striker in!?
Fucking stupid!

We have had 12 months with out bringing anyone in to help Sharp . The last recruitment with regards to the strikers department was a long long time ago . and still no signs of any movement . Yes we might have to see what league we will be in Now but thats no excuse for not solving the problem which has existed for the last two years . Arsehole

We brought Mcburnie and Brewster in to help Sharp, we also already had, Mcgoldrick, Burke, Moose, Jebbo, Hackford, Osula, Ndiaye, I mean, for fucks sake, how many forwards do you want!?
Jesus, how fucking stupid are some folk!
