Apparently part of the Forest Echo and Woods Echo parody of a parody that's sweeping the football internet and catching out the serious hacks.

Thats the trouble with Socal Media, you can literally pass anything off as truth and enough people will buy it. I'm feeling mischievous, I might make something up about an extinction level event asteroid heading for us, but Bruce Willis says he will be on the case. Some idiot will buy into it :)

Fuck me, when's that happening Crab?

Chuffin' hell and thanks for the warning mate!

Do you know when it's coming and where it is likely to hit first? Please reply quickly as I'll be off home to load up the pick-up, get some canned food in and clean the guns.

Some of the football stuff is quite amusing, including the Sharapova taunts that provoked the violence from Russian fans. But the way it catches on shows that gullibility is alive and well.

Anyway, I'm off to watch Sky News coverage of the asteroid. It would arrive just when the Blades are coming good. Only one man can save us...

Likely to hit Barnsley first, so it will be a while before anyone notices any difference.

Yeah, and he's playing fucking Golf on an oil rig. It's all going to kick off when he finds out one of the lads is diddling his daughter.

I'm not wasting the little time we've got left on a football message board. It all seems so insignificant now.

Thanks to everyone for putting up with me. It's been a blast. Goodbye and Up the Blades.

...is there an asteroid forum?

Yikes !

Just promise me you won't make it into a film :)

I've run into some budgetary issues :)

Relieved to hear it. It wouldn't have been as good as the one about aliens getting their asses kicked by Will Smith on July 4th, or the other comet/asteroid one with Morgan Freeman as the President, or another one around the same time whose name I can't remember. :)

If I can get the budget sorted, Sci Fi Channel have shown an interest. They've told me it could eclipse such classics as Three Headed Shark Attack, Sharktopus and Mega Croc vs Sharkosaurus.

Pfft. Shark attacks are so last Spring.

That said, Three Headed Shark Attack sounds like 1980s Troma Films heaven. "Troma" (sp ?)

But not Plan 9 from Outer Space...

He's already on board. I'd even got Roger Moore interested but he rather inconveniently went and died on me bless him.

Admittedly in this heat you'll have to move fast with Moore, but if you get the filming done quickly using the old Leonid Brezhnev technique (bloke with a stick moving his arms from behind, etc) I'm pretty sure no-one will notice the difference. The Soviets got away with it for at least five years, didn't they ? Bit colder over there, mind you.

:)

Well, Pinchy gave me an idea with his Plan 9 suggestion. In that, after Bela Lugosi died, Ed Wood got his dentist (I think) to play Bela's part. The guy look nothing like Lugosi, so spent the rest of the film hiding behind his cape.

So, Sir Roger will be there, sort of.

I believe Nick "Monty" Montgomery may be available, when his current filming project ends.

He's become a bit greedy since his re-ignited fame on here though. He wanted Panda Cola AND a bag of Monster Munch. I was offered Ernest Borgnine for that but I thought one corpse in a film was enough, I'm not George A Romero.
