If we do get the Ben Mee signing over the line, a CB pairing of Mee and Tanganga would be formidable. Perfect blend of strength, pace and experience. Shame it's taken so long to get the deal done but it's a statement of intent by the owners.

Thoughts?

If Mee can get up to the fitness levels needed then yes would be an extremely formidable CB pairing.

I wonder if we’d consider a 3 at the back with Godfrey / mee / Tanganga.

Allows Seriki and borrows to play further forward. And might help out our non existent midfield.

Has Selles ever used 3 at the back before - not sure?

yes it would if we stick to a back 4 godfrey at rb and maybe seriki in front of him he would be far more dangerous than brooks on that side with the added advantage that he can whip crosses in with his right foot brooks is far too easy for defenders to play against they know 90% of time hes gonna come back on his left foot

I do wonder why we haven't given Brooks more time on the left? can't he cross with his left or is it just a strategic thing?

Trouble is we have brought in Soumari ,if he plays i can't see us playing 3 at the back although the 3 you show would be good.

Don't think we will have enough cover to do it - especially once JLT (hopefully) pisses off. Leaves us with Tanganga, potentially Mee, Nils and Godfrey. Godfrey seems to have been signed to play full back though.

Mee is 5-11
We need some height in our back four
I hope NZ is good enough now as he is 6-4

There’s Bindon too. Plus rumours we are still in For Woo.

Still not sure Selles would actually go for it.

Just been having this conversation as it goes. For me it's the sign of a bad manager when I get refuse to adapt their playing style for the players available to them (see amorim at Manure). You should adapt and formulate a playing identity based on the players you have, not stock Tom Cannon and Ryan Oné on the wing.

Bloke is out of his depth and the sooner he's out out of his misery the better.
