It ceases to amaze me that Ched is still with us.
He's behind Jake Wright .Anyway where is Ravel? Is he excused from pre-season jogging?

This year's David Brooks, mark my words. It ceases to amaze me that Ched is still with us.
Can't agree. With a back 5, surely you'd have 4 Basham 5 Egan 6 O'Connell. As a lifelong numbers pedant, If I had my way they'd be like this.
1. Henderson (hopefully)
2. Baldock
3. Stevens
4. Fleck
5. O'Connell
6. Egan
7. Norwood
8. Basham
9. McGoldrick
10. Sharp
11. Duffy

Then 7 Norwood, 8 Fleck, 9 McGoldrick, 10 Sharp, 11 Duffy.
You inexplicably fail to mention Bob Booker.I see you're point but I don't think defenders should ever wear number 4.
Number 4 should always be the midfield rock, think Makelele at Chelsea and Vieira at Arsenal.
I wouldn't be 100% happy with Basham being number 8 but it works because of his versatility as both a defender and a midfielder. I've always thought of him as being a midfielder.
Also the Hollywood star and TV god Sir Nick of Down Under Monty - Montgomery he was also number 4, not sure if this helps or destroys the argument? You inexplicably fail to mention Bob Booker.
