OHHHH
HARRY SOUTTAR'S MAGIC
HE WEARS A MAGIC HAT
AND IF YOU THREW A BRICK AT HIM
HE'D HEAD THE FUCKER BACK
HE'LL HEAD IT TO THE LEFT
HE'LL HEAD IT TO THE RIGHT
AND WHEN WE WIN PROMOTION
WE'LL SING THIS SONG ALL NIGHT

Hope it's an easy game for him on Wed. Evening kick off here then he needs to fly back and prep for a tough midday Sat game against Cov.

We then have a Tuesday & Friday game so assuming Wilder will shuffle the team for Oxford at home to save some legs

Playing this evening not tomorrow

Finished 2-2 late Australia equaliser. Scare for Souttar due to clash of heads but he was ok to continue.

"84 min There’s a nasty clash of heads between Souttar and Benaddi at an Australia corner, and you can imagine who came off worse. There’s a bit of concern from the Bahrain players, and replays show why: Benaddi got to the ball a split-second before Souttar and took a horrible whack.

86 min Souttar’s not in a good way either actually. Both players are conscious and still receiving treatment.

88 min Play resumes with both men okay to continue."

Hopefully his iron head only means a head ache and as he didn't come off nothing more serious. Only a 7 hour flight back to London from Bahrain instead of 20 hours from Australia.

Even if he ends up being diagnosed with concussion, he can still fly home. Concern is if he does get any kind of delayed onset concussion.

If he’s fine, I hope we play him Saturday and rest him Tuesday. His schedule has been in stop since august

Whilst he's used to the travel, he certainly isn't used to playing every minute of every game for club and country over a championship season.

Last time he played more than 20 club games in a season was 20/21 (38 games)

Fingers crossed his body can last the distance

I think this showed today. Body and mind both seemed tired, and now we can't really rest him on Tuesday, which I was hoping was the plan.

He looked shagged out today and my worry is he is going the same way as Egan who was flogged by Ireland on every given opportunity until his boy gave up on him

I think it did show why he’s at United rather than plying his trade in the prem….
Bit Like Vinni, love them both but don’t see them ever doing anything in the top division

Because he had one bad game out of the 12 or so he's played for us?
Pretty sure even Prem players have off days.
I think he's earned some slack from us.

Souttar is only 26 though and there's no international matches till March now.

Egan only really got injured by a bad landing I seem to recall in a match but I take your point. Prior to that he'd played almost every match for united.

I know the feeling mate. My missus flogged me every opportunity she could, now my old boys given up on me too.

Anel also reminded us today why he struggled in the Prem last season

He's been a rock for us so far. Left his man for both goals unfortunately yesterday. Hopefully just tiredness, not sure if we are confident enough to rest him for some of Tuesday, with insufficient backup. Maybe.

I'm unsure of the terms and conditions of Souttar's loan but looking at Leicester defensive performance they may look to recall in January if allowed.

wonder if wilder may be tempted to rest him for oxford and save him for sunderland could play gilchrist and robinson

I think he was just shattered with all the travelling yesterday and it showed ,he needs a break but now because of the stupid actions of his mate Anel he might not be able to have that rest he deserves . He looked worn out and it was his worst performance since he has been here ,now i am not having a go at him anyone would be feeling shattered but due to Anels red card options are limited .

He’s my player of the season so far. The way he missed the cross for the goal , was pure tiredness I believe. He’s been incredible for us this season. But he’s being thrown into every game both at home and internationally . And he’s been tremendous for both up to now. However he’s definitely looking leggy as they say!

Stupid sending off tonight but he's looked zoned out since he returned from international duty. We need to manage that better next time. Give him a rest. I guess the plus side of the suspension is that he gets a week off before a busy December.

In fairness, the two performances prior to the international break weren't great from him, so it's 4 poor games. Shame, given how well he started & when he's switched on fully - rock solid. Maybe missing what 1 game, might be good for him.
