South Stand Queue

The options were either mobile tickets or print at home tickets - so as long as you'd picked the right one and tried to use it in the way that was intended, this shouldn't have caused issues.
On another point why do you have to pay £1 per ticket booking fee when you buy on line and print the bloody ticket using your own ink and paper😔

Never understood why they allow print at home tickets, not everyone is using decent ink or paper, and if the settings of your printer are set for a lower quality that could cause issues too. When you print at home gig tickets often they are scanned by a hand held device and often have more than one barcode to choose from too.
Well the guy right in front of me holding up the queue for what seemed like an age had it on his phone.

Never did see if he got through in the end as I slid into the next door turnstile and went straight through with my printed ticket.

So stick that prejudice of yours where the sun don't shine and let other folk do whatever suits them best.

Do we have to let other clubs have the upper and lower tier in the FA Cup? Season ticket holders in the BL Corner have no choice but to move seats and look at our seats lying empty, so not sure giving season ticket holders pre-sale chance to book their seats really works. I guess you could say it reduces the numbers being confused looking for their seat and gets people through the turnstile in their normal way using the card.

For what it's worth I printed ours for this and Forest and didn't have any issues- I don't trust the QR codes on my phone to be reliable.
Likewise šŸ‘

No problem here either. Pulled up on drive at quarter to 9, in within a minute. Kettle on, Sky box on, fast forward past all the pre-match Hollywood worship, in my seat with a mug of tea and an iced bakewell in time for KO at 2101. Come on you red and white wizaaaards.

Which was nice.
🤣

Fuck em I haven't got a printer and I'm not getting one!

Well arguably, then, it's the QR stuff that held queues up. That won't get sorted overnight. Under 40s know the score. The seniors, not so. (some will but as a generalisation, its right)
So the young guy in front of me who put his phone in upside down to scan the QR code knew the score then did he? He panicked and then put his phone in the right way up but the wrong way round. Steward tried to get him out. I nipped in the next turnstile with my barcoded ticket. I am 73 so don't generalise about us oldies.

When are the Tottenham tickets on sale ?

Won’t know until SCC have decided what part of the stadium to shut next. The reason being it’s not in the S6 postcode.

Dear Mr Bettis,

Further to our ongoing discussion about the enforcement of Ground Regulations on the Shoreham Street ā€œKopā€, it has been drawn to our attention that smoke bombs were thrown onto the playing area during Tuesday night’s fixture against Ryan Reynolds’ FC by chirpy twats (unknown) from South Merseyside.

We have therefore taken the regrettable decision to close the ā€œNewā€ South Stand.

Yours, aye,

SCC / S(L)AG.

Dear SCC/SAG

I understand scurrilous allegations have been made about the fragrant and wonderful supporters of cymddtrrrcymhhdy FC and them throwing a smoke bomb. Even though l am a Sheffield United supporter l must inform you of the actual events that evening. Seventeen of my Blades supporting friend were given free tickets for the end where the Lovetonoshryan FC fans were and they told me that it was in fact a incendiary device, thrown from the cricket pavilion which, before being bravely thrown at the Blades keeper err Foulke, hit the following:

18 old ladies
14 orphans
15 disabled people
188 kidney punched victims
Phil Parkinson’s bottom lip
Ryan Reynolds fluffer
3000 Owls fans there.

You should do something! ( bit harsher than last time ffs)

Yours

If you chose a mobile ticket, but printed it off, would that work in the scanner? Same for if you chose print at home but tried to scan it on your phone instead. I can't get my head round why it wouldn't, but given you have to choose one or the other, that must be the case?

And like i say, I know 2 who aren't. So it's not "complete bollocks" at all is it?

Well it is as you were inferring that people over 40 are not very good with technology
I suggest you 'educate' the two that you know in how to use the turnstiles / tickets
If the majority of people over 40 had problems (as you suggest) using the turnstiles / printed tickets / QR codes some people would have missed the whole game

Not a dicky bird.

Someone has said on Twitter that their phone tries to default to Apple Pay when scanned, which is something Foxy pointed out before.
My mums was doing exactly that ,luckily I had it stored on my phone too so just used that , not the point though

Yeah this happened to me. It took 5/6 attempts for it to work.

If you are quick enough, it'll scan before it has chance to detect NFC and open Apple Pay...

Possibly maybe pinch/zooming as you scan or holding a finger on the screen might keep focus on the doc/image, not tested.

I’d had 3 pints Foxy and I’m not fast at the best of times!

Joking aside, the pinching method seemed to be the one which worked in the end. I did see someone say on here it was due to having Bluetooth turned on too, so I’ll turn this off in future, in case it was that.
