Be thankful you don't go on the kop then. Multiple queues? There's one mass of people that eventually trickles out into queues when you get to the pavement.

I couldn't see any reason for the hold ups when we actually got in sight of the turnstiles.

The second part of your post I agree with. When someone can't put their season card to the scanner properly, it frustrates those behind who then jump into the next turnstile. I know bevause I do it. If anyone still can't use those turnstiles 15 years on, wtf are ya doing leaving the house?

I’m 62 and quite possibly more proficient with technology than you are. None of my friends and family of a certain generation have any problems. So your generalisation about people over 40 is bullshit and also ageist. Perhaps your experiences with your own family are the exception.

Although stewards were helpful and making sure everyone knew what to do with their ticket.

Why did they stop putting the ticket on season ticket cards anyway? You used to just buy a cup ticket and ask for it to be added to your ST.
