You are receiving this email as you have a season ticket for the area in the immediate vicinity to the team dugouts and away team staff area.
We are emailing to address serious concerns regarding the behaviour of a small number of fans during our recent match against Watford on Saturday 18th October 2025. On that day one of the Watford players reported that he was subject of serious abuse as he left the field of play having been substituted, although this was not reported until the end of game. Such behaviour violates both the ground regulations and the values that our club stands for.
Whilst the vast majority of our supporters continue to represent our club with pride and respect, this type of behaviour is unacceptable and has brought our club’s reputation into question. This is not the first occasion that fans seated in this area have behaved in a similar way most notably during our game last season against Leeds.
We wish to make it absolutely clear that this behaviour will not be tolerated. The club has increased CCTV capability in this area and is fully cooperating with the EFL and FA and has reported the matter to South Yorkshire Police. Individuals found responsible will face severe consequences, including stadium bans and possible legal action.
We would urge all fans to remember that their actions reflect not only on themselves but also on the entire Sheffield United community. We ask everyone to continue supporting the team passionately, but always with respect to players and officials especially those visiting our club.
If you have any information with regard to the incident during the Watford game please contact the club by email using [email protected].
