Aye,aye aye aye
Shoreham Republican Army (we're barmy)
Wherever we go
We fear no foe
Cos we are the SRA
One or two versions to this one, they all fit in nicely.I’m from Barnsley we used to sing “ aye aye aye aye Odgy is better.........” didn’t it finish “ and Mallender’s dirtier than Rattin (dirty Argie player) ...I know, “ artistic licence...” an all that.
"We'll see you all outside
We'll see you all outside
We'll see you all
We'll see you all outside ..."
Nice ditty. Straight to the point and no messing about. Obviously the several hundred singing it at the time want to see the paltry tens in the opposition end 'outside' somewhere.
"I was walking down Shoreham Street, singin' a song
I met a Wednedayite walking along
So I kicked him in the bollocks
And I kicked him in the head
Now that Wednesdayite
Is dead."
Apart from the unprovoked assault and possible manslaughter/murder rap in this story, it clearly shows the cross city rivalry at it's zenith, particularly when unknowing opposition supporters stray into native territory and the singularly brutal treatment meted out for transgressors, thus.
"Oooh! Stick the boot in!
Oooh! Stick the boot in!"
A long forgotten tribal mantra chanted as fellow supporters crowd round a balled up opposition supporter as he desperately protects his vitals against a myriad of violent volleys and goal kicks to the back, buttocks and head. The 'Ohhh!' component suggests a slight psychosexual pleasure from issuing these punitive blows.
Cahill's:
"Hello! hello!
Shoreham aggro!"
Is another wonderful rallying cry shouted up after some hapless opposition supporter group have been thoroughly routed. It was seen (by me) to be used after an affray outside the corner of Shoreham Street and John Street when some quite young opposition fans were chased and battered. Good work hoolies, eh?
pommpey
Ohhhhhh Tony Tony....... Tony Tony Tony Tony A-GA- NAAAHHH!!!!! (Love the awkwardness of it)
And obviously.......
OOH AAH..................
Still hear that regularly to be fair .We seem to be singing more player chants of late, but that's probably because we actually have players that we want to chant/sing for, which is a good sign!
Is the Jack O'Connell magic hat song original by the way?
Probably my favourite that one.
Shame that the teenage wankers don't know anything beyond Jack O'Connell and Paul Coutts or whatevers on Youtube at the time.
Bertie Mee said to Bill Shankly
Ave you eard of the North Bank, Highbury
He says no, I don't think so,
But I've heard of the Shoreham AGGRO!
