When Chris Wilder was appointed manager I, like many others, said WTF?..who? After many, high profile, appointment by Mr Mcabe many with good cvs and undoubted pedigree, we had a manager with no previous experience of League 1.
I spent hours trolling the inter web for all the info I could find on our new “gaffa” and what I found upended my eyes, what a record, every club he has managed, he has learnt and improved.

Club Total Win%
Sheffield United 50.70 division 1 champions 100pts
Northampton Town 48.03 division 2 champions 99pts
Oxford United. 44.98
FC Halifax Town 38.46
Prior to this he had already won 4 trophies with Alfreton Town in the Northern Counties East in one season!... this guy Is a born winner.
Best record in the last few years of ANY British manager.... we are blessed.

After decades of following the Blades I have become accustomed to crushing disappointment, often just when there was a hint of glory but this season felt totally different, somewhere deep inside me was a voice saying,.... “yeah!.. we can do this” and unusually I was confident that all would be good. Where did this optimism come from? ... I’m a Blade for fucks sake! It’s not what we do or how we think. The inner confidence I have is strange yet exciting. It’s not going to be a walkover next season but I have no fear, I know deep inside that if we play our game and we will be fine .
Don’t worry Blades... exciting times lie in wait....
it’s a new dawn.... it’s a new day .....and I’m feeling good.

In the words of Jarvis Cocker “something changed”
