So excited

When the pigs win with a jammy penalty against 2nd in the league I just think it's not my week. We'll lose.

I'm on board.

I've woken up today and it's not just a day with a game but it's game day!

This is the first of potentially a whole host of important home games against nearly all the teams around and above us in the league, and at last it feels like we have a game that actually means something.

I could never get up like this for Premier League games because ultimately the only realistic prize was avoiding failure so I haven't been this excited since the last season we were promoted, and probably the Hull away day when we won an early kick off and Leeds lost to Brentford in the late kick off game. I knew that day the we were going up.

What ever happens tonight will not be definitive in terms of our season but at last it feels like it's important and there really is something to play for.

It's days like this that make the Championship my favourite league to play in, although I would still take promotion every day despite knowing that generally speaking the games mean so much less.

I wonder if 6 foot 5 Goode will start to help counteract the aerial bombardment, or maybe we'll see a change of approach from Brucie.
Doubt it somehow
Good(e) idea but who would we leave out? Davies I suppose, but he's the lefty and played pretty well the other day - though might not be fit enough for another game so soon anyway.

How can you he excited about us potentially going up as if we do, we'll be playing in a league where the only realistic prize is avoiding failure?

:-)

If we do get into play-offs and then by some miracle actually win a promotion place then what area(s) of the team would we need to strengthen.?
Goal, 2 centre backs, two midfielders and two strikers would be my guess.

That's a very fair question that I sometimes ask myself but with sport it's all about living in the moment, and I really enjoy the succesful moments because you never know how long you will have to wait for the next one.

All this positivity is setting us up for a spectacular meltdown for later tonight. This thread will be interesting come 10pm.

we play 6th place west brom tonight
5th place huddersfield saturday at 1-30 win both we can overtake both
we are 11 points behind 2nd place blackburn with 3 games in hand
win these 2 we will be 5 points behind 2nd before blackburn still with a game in hand , as they kick off later than us

us getting so many games called off made us look lower than we possibly could be

There’ll be tears and tantrums by evensong

And that’s just in the car on the way home if we balls it up - let alone on here

I really don’t get all the fuss about Bruce schooling us , I actually think val Ishmael’s style would have been worse for our team.

Wasn’t Bruce manager at Villa when we twatted them 4-1 and at Newcastle last season when we got our first win ?
