We have 17 games left and if we kept up the same form (2.375/game) we would get an additional 40 points+42points in the bag means we would end up on 82 points.

1. I don’t see us keeping the current 2/game up
2. 82 won’t be enough for auto.

Think auto promo teams usually don’t lose more than 5/6 in a season. We’ve already lost 9

Agreed. I’m no Bergen Blade but it does seem like Hecky has us much more prepared for how the opposition will set up. My novice eye felt that Slav just set up to play Slav’s way most of the time.

Using that logic, only Fulham and Bournemouth can get automatics because everybody else has lost more than 6.

I'm using the logic that we're 11pts behind 2nd, with 3 games in hand on them

But seeing as how Fulham have lost 4 games currently and the team that's lost the next fewest is Bournemouth with 6 I think the losses will be higher, as I can't see Bournemouth going the rest of the season unbeaten and most others in an around have lost 7 or 8 already

We could have done with this game being 5 days earlier, Steve Bruce has had the measure of us for a few years now. That's not to say its still the case, it was Wilderball he'd figured out, hopefully he hasn't had enough training sessions and our tactics are different enough to trip him up a bit.

Things have really turned around since Hecky returned. I'm really looking forward to matches again and fear no one.

In hindsight it seems really strange that he was binned off for Slav in the first place (remember him - I barely do now).

Wonder where we'd be if Hecky had been in charge from the start this season? Oh well. I really fancy us to be in the mix at the end now.
