Listen, Sheffield Wednesday are a massive massive football club with very powerful football supporters, the most powerful in Europe. Everyone agrees. I know their manager's a Sausage Rohl but sausage rolls are absolutely fantastic so this is going to be an unbelievably incredibly difficult game and if we can nick one early then hang on for 80 minutes until the equaliser that would be a real achievement

Not confident for this one 🫤

It’s a fact that we have been playing poorly and if indeed Vinnie is out then this will clearly weaken us as Hamsa , whilst being ok , doesn’t play forward enough and leaves so much for Peck to do .

Even though we have brought in 7 players in the T Window we still have injury issues - it feels like many of our players are made of glass and therefore CW feels compelled to manage players minutes - resulting in not being confident enough to play a consistent strong line up . These changes do not deliver consistent performances - our subs often improve is worse - we often are left hanging on to games .

What tactics will CW apply ? Will we start slowly ? (if we do I worry we will be chasing the game) Will our flair players turn up ?

Says something that even though we are second with 9 to go , nailed on playoff qualifiers at worst and 2 clear of third ,many Blades I talk to are so downbeat due to our performances . It really is head scratching. These people are not entitled supporters - they are seasoned , objective, been through thick and thin with the club supporters .

Not to have scored more than 2 goals on only two occasions is mind blowing - the margin of error is so tight - also , look at the shots against stats for recent games - BC I believe had 22 attempts at our goal on Tuesday , quite shocking for a side second and at home .

All in all - even though second , as you can tell I’m not confident at all . Not being negative, just stating why I feel this way .

As ever - up the Blades

Would take a point in isolation.. but if Burnley best Swansea on Saturday we need to win to get back into the top 2 for the break.

weve put pressure on ourselves for this one by not beating bristol city we could really do with the 3 points wednesday will be bang up for this game so we have to be as well i would take a point but wednesdays home form and their shit defence definetly gives us a decent chance of the win i think this is a game where all 3 possible outcomes are very even

It's a Derby game, and like most Derby games the world over it could go either way, so I admit I'm Bricking me sen big time.
Not about wendy it's about what a draw could do to our promotion chances..... ;)

It’s a leveller, derbies always are. But this season we are decent away from home too.

Front foot, cool heads is what’s needed. They’re at home so they’ll have to attack, not shit the bed like they did at ours. We can take advantage of this, exploit the gaps, knock old man Bannon off his perch, get it done

Plasterers from Leeds having a laugh with me earlier. They said your playing the pigs Sunday aren't you. I said I like how you call them that. They said don't they call you the same?!. I told them the old pig farm story about where their ground is. Bullshit or not it's still funny. UTB 🔴⚪

This side, as unpopular as piles as it might be, simply doesn’t lose the game. Multitude of reasons why.

Cooper
Femi Anel Holding Robbo Harry
Peck. Vini. Hamer
Brewdog Ty

Hamer bossing the midfield area - Vini moping up any threat.

Do it gaffer. You know it makes sense.

Not unpopular at all. On the team v Wednesday thread that same line up with BBD for Brewster is currently on 33 likes!

It could well be our best option for the run in. It's hard to think it wouldn't lead to better performances. But Seriki would be the problem. As soon as he breaks down and needs subbing, the whole system falls down a great deal

I see Sausage Boy cheekily commented in his presser, 'this might not be the last time we play them this season'. ie we both make play-offs

Easy team talk for sausage roll just play them the vid of wilder singing sausage rohl chant in pub🤷‍♂️

Half of their bench were laughing when it was sung at the Lane.

They shouldn't need silliness like that to get them going and if they aren't already fired up for this match by default, then they aren't fit to wear the Wednesday shirt.

They beat two weak teams nothing to shout about. Haven't won at home since Jan1st ,against mighty Derby.

Think it will be 0 0, absolute drab affair with wilder going ultra negative tactics wise and Wednesday just being a very average team who are unable to break us down

That sounds like a very good prediction but I just think some accidental goals will be scored

It looks perfect for 1-1

They won't win 3 in a row after 2 good away wins
They are way overdue to score against us
We haven't won 6 consecutively away since 1893
They have a poor defence and we nearly always score
We're likely to get a result after the disappointment on Tuesday
Wilder always approaches derbies cautiously
A double seems unlikely for us and they'll be desperate to avoid that

It looks overwhelmingly like a draw to me, specifically 1-1
