I really think that the Sheffield village tag is true. It is said that we are all six degrees of separation from everyone in the world. But Sheffield seems to have less degrees of separation than other places I know.

On this thought I mused on how many degrees of separation I have to players, ex players and staff at the lane. It got me thinking as a very close friend of mine just graduated and will now work with Harry Maguire's girlfriend that's 3 degrees (1 for the friend 2 for HM's GF and then Harry) Her sister, who is also a close friend, is a friend of Chris Wilder through their sons so that's 2 degrees, I know Richard Creswell to talk to so that's one degree.

I was therefore interested if anyone had similar connections as all of us on here should be considered 1 degree from each other as it is a community. So anyone having a close connection means all on here are only 1 degree further away from that person. If you catch my drift...

A good mate of mine is James Beattie's brother in law and they live on the street in Harrogate.

Do I win a prize?

I know Paddy McGeeney:confused:, I knew John Brayford when he lived in Sheffield and I live round the corner from Chris Wilder, who is a friend of a friend.

I slept with Seal (true story) and a Liverpudlian friend got in touch to tell me that I used to work with Lundstram's Dad.

Another Liverpudlian friend keeps me aware of the one degree of separation between scousers and villains, no names no pack drill ;) yet another Liverpool connection forms a link between football agents and organised crime - something that I think will become exposed and scandalised at some point.

Anything you like from the bottom shelf down at the lock up. There might be something that won't maim you, you never know ;)

I think all towns and cities are as village-like as each other really in terms of who knows who.

I would say though in terms of how 'grand' comparable cities are, Sheffield of all the northern cities has fewer grand buildings than any of the rest, for instance I reckon that most Sheffield streets are lined by buildings 2 storeys lower than Leeds, and probably 3 lower than Manchester.... in that sense it seems like more of a very big town than it does a city, to me ....

My ex-girlfriend was mates with United also-ran Colin Cryan.

My mate used to work the girlfriend of ex-United cunt and failure Jordan Slew.

Another close friends cousin is married to Steven Quinn.

And I know George Longs mum.

What's your relationship to Billy Sharp? :D

I'm related to Kyle and Callum McFadzean somewhere along the line.

Sheffield is the better off man's Worksop... :)

Not strictly United related but many years ago I was friends with a young lady whose father was a member of the Polish football team at the 1936 Berlin Olympics and he had met Hitler. Godwins Law in action.

3 Degrees? From January it's the start of the 'Year of Decision'.

Get it wrong and Wilder may well be saying 'When will I see you Again'

Fuck me you lot are laughable. I know and I'm related to everyone in Norfolk, you should see the Christmas Dinner requirements. Thankfully Crab Industries are on hand to fulfill all catering needs, Big Vern scrubs up right nice as a waitress
