If his plan is to get crosses into the box down both flanks, then why keep McBurnie on the bench and start Didsy? I guess we'll find out soon enough and Hecky will either be deemed a genius or an idiot by the end of the match.

Although admittedly probably not my starting 11 for toneet. I reckon it’s a good sign that the whole squad are chomping at the bit in training to get involved. With two games a week till end of season, surely it’s a good thing that we have so many differing views on who we should start due to being on form. All positive innit UTB!

And we’re dropping the best midfielder in the league Berge ….

To play two midfielders who couldn’t tackle a fish supper between them against a bunch of giants instead ……

Add to that playing a combined age of 87 strike force whilst leaving Mcburnie on the bench …..


Can’t help but think Hecky has completely overthought this wilder did the exact same in big games , Hecky is just copying wilder on everything

I'm usually one to keep my powder dry when the line-up is announced, but don't mind admitting to being a bit surprised by this one. Not to say it won't work for us, but not usually a fan of changing too much when you have a team playing well and winning like we currently are. I'm not convinced by Hourihane and think he is our weakest CM option, so that change in particular is one I wouldn't have made. Hope he has a stormer now I've said that!

Baldock back in with Bogle at LWB (presumably) is interesting, I rate both very highly so hoping that clicks.

On the plus side, what a subs bench to call on at Championship level - great to see Morgan Gibbs-White back.

Maybe it's a psychological game with Cabbage Head as he'll know our standard line up, so in picking the line up using a tombola it'll take him by surprise!

Berge isn't exactly stellar in the tackling stakes either though, is he?

Our best two wing backs are Baldock and Bogle. Bogle played LWB away at Old Trafford and has pace to nullify their RWB, Furlong, so he was probably concerned they might target RND.

I’d prefer Davies, but he also hasn’t played much and recently JLT has been ok under Hecky.

He’s gone for the midfield pairing who haven’t lost to try and outpass them over 2 players who haven’t played much recently.

McGoldrick has been iffy in his last few sub appearances but he’s an experienced player who, contrary to those last 2 appearances, is generally hard to dispossess.

McBurnie and Sharp don’t really work as a pair so why drop a striker in form over one you are still easing back?

Disappointing as it may be, as soon as Gibbs-White became available ok the bench, Jebbo’s place came under threat.

Not sure I arrived at the same team but there is some thought there and the team has plenty of experience for a big game.

It could be 5-2-2-1 Have to see where McG and Ndiaye are sitting.Tough one for Bogle playing on the wrong side. Ahearne-Grant will be all over that side it could cause us problems.Have to have some tall boys on at the end Goode 6'4 and tough ,McBurnie are in for a battle .It will be hoof into our box late in the game.
