That 2nd half was hard to watch, coasting 3 - 1 and in control by halftime then we do what we seem to always do (we go all defensive), good result in the end but Wilder has to sort the shit displays out, they're bottom of the league for a reason and in the end they were unlucky not to get a point.

Puts Seriki on, he looks good going forwards, so he take Choudhury off and Seriki can't defend for toffee and they're back in it. Why does he mess substitutions up, yet Cannons been a passenger, even if he scores
That's what I thought. Femi was killing them on the right, so CW pushes him back to RB. Should have just put Doc on. Femi is looking much more like a RW than RB.

Great to win but.. We made that far harder than it needed to be.
Did we win a single header second half? I know they were just lumping it forwards but we never even challenge to put the attackers off a header. Real weakness for me. Thank god Kitching comes back in next game.

We dont make it easy nor do we to watch for the fans lol.

Another poor performance though, we was okay for about 20 mins either side of HT. That aside we was pretty poor snd struggled against one of worst teams in championship statistically.

I thought our cbs looked weak all game and wasnt convincing in winning first ball, cannon was poor offered nothing, ching was weak and poor apart from 1 mazey run, thought ayew was poor when he came on, choudhury struggled as well, also another goal conceded from a free player stood in box with no one around, this trend is getting concerning.

Im saying that a win is a win another 3 points, we seem to be able to get a result and still play poorly. Really thought we may have turned a corner with wrexham game and how we played...hoping a few results now give us a bit more confidence, I am worried about our lack of depth or speed/athleticism im the squad.

We really missed Phillips today.

Peck fair play, id just slagged him off prior to his goal, was no where near for their 1st goal but made up for it scoring 2 good goals.

Delighted we’ve won - but last 3 games have been against absolute dross - I’ll judge us on games against teams that are going to be aiming for playoffs ……actually with this 8th place boll4cks that’s anyone who can finish about 30 points off top - so yeah ignore me

Disjointed first half even more disjointed second. We were in no trouble at all at 1-3 then the centre backs get themselves in a muddle and gift PNE a goal. Two really poor goals conceded away from home similar to Pompey away.

Its a scruffy 3 points away against the worst team in the league. The spine was missing in Kitching Phillips and Bamford but we made hard work of it again. We struggle against robust forwards and will continue until we employ a beast at the back. PNE won virtually all the aerial duels second half as they went long.

Canon and Arblaster poor again.

A lot to work on for the next 2 games. As others have alluded to getting points against the poor sides disguises a number of frailties. We will only be able to judge how good the players and manager are when the likes of Middlesbrough, Southampton, West Ham rock up.

Next two opponents are Charlton and Watford who are also in dire form at the moment. These few weeks have been a great opportunity to string some results together.

And it's a fucking good job, give it two weeks and we'll start a spell of ten or so absolutely bastard games

I thought i'd seen Prestons goalie before he loved it out the box

I think we've actually gained ground on 5 of the clubs above us this evening, pretty good night all round (Apart from Canon and Choudhury). I hope Preston actually avoid relegation with living in the area, so have a bit of a soft spot for them.

I must be watching a different match. I’m not saying Hamza is playing a blinder but you would think he has given away 10 penalties and scored 5 own goals by the comments on here. I am baffled as to why he arouses so much anger. Gets some great challenges in, breaks up play quite well, pushes us forward (he isn’t a sideways and back player). Lacks pace, sure.
Just watch his positioning. Often way off his opponent and sometimes drifting about leaving other defenders with two to deal with.

I don’t get this constant slagging off certain players get. We have more issues defensively given the 2 poor goals we conceded that targeting the usual suspects. We controlled the vast majority of the game against a very poor side admittedly but that’s not enough for some of our fan base who are always jumping on the same scapegoats. It’s been the same since time immemorial and the only difference is it shifts to the next target

Strange game , amateur defending on the goals conceded , great finish for our 2nd , lovely move for the third , all wrapped up in some decent stuff and some careless stuff and some dogged stuff.

Its a win so what , thats championship football .. UTB
Changes we largely got away with rather than they worked.

Jairo ok. But then Cannon ran about and was never in the right place at the right time or strong enough or quick enough when we needed him to be. Seriously I’d Stoke still retain an interest in January we should be all over it.

McGuinness was poor on the second goal. Completely fluffed the header. Seriki defended terribly, that was one concerning aspect.

Peck obviously man of the match but it’s not hard to make a case to move back to the line up vs Wrexham provided players are fit.
