cant believe we conceded like that. such a comedy goal. tony pulis special. but we dug in there and stood up to the remaining early pressure and started to play our stuff. better decision making in the final third and we would have scored a couple more. your keeper pulled off a blinding save. its a great game for the neutral.

Got to get a stamp on it in midfield. Norwood had a shocker first 42 minutes, but in fairness other two were getting bossed as well. Seemed a bit more life from Berge and Norwood towards end. Mcatee not quite coming off for him.

Monster throw from JLT for our goal. Love the way we are winning the ball of them but they are turning us inside out going forwards.

Just. Ugh.

We're about 3 different sides all within 45 minutes. Started so strong before and after McBs goal and then literally fizzled when they started having possession. Do we really crumble when a team attacks us because I foresee that being something of a regular issue next season...

Sometimes this team can be so bloody frustrating, so capable and often so seemingly unwilling.

why are you here?

honestly will never understand oppo fans chirping up in our matchday threads like we give a fuck what they have to say

Norwood struggles against quick, physical players, was the reason he struggled in PL, same is happening tonight.

Our midfield is the problem here. They're not covering back. Fucking Berge and Norwood jogging. Anel had a chase before half time, held him up and their player had an easy pass to a teammate while 2 of our players stood looking. They're literally overrunning us and the defenders are being left one-on-one. They have as much time and space on the ball outside our box. When they break they are matching us for numbers as the midfield is awol. When we attack we need an extra touch all the time. Norwood playing silly Hollywood passes to the opposition. He's having an absolute mare tonight. Lucky to be level imo.

Also, our pressing isn't working because the midfield (McAtee the worst culprit here) is not tuned in. They're not following ambles, let alone runs. Easy out balls and then the midfield is turned. Their forwards keep coming deep, pulling the CBs out and then midfielders running into the gaps.

i worry about howson, hes a great player still but the legs cant keep up with the brain and he gets caught in possession to easy. you can easy nick a goal on the break. we commit bodies forward and leave big spaces for you to play into. but i guess we have to. we have to go for the win. a loss or draw are no good to us against you guys. pretty sure watching this players are desperate to beat you and close that gap a bit.

I just think it's a cracking game, would not be too critical, a lot of quality football in there. Difference I would say is that they are trying to pass through us in the final and we are trying to run through them and they are getting better retention and less open to counter attacks as a result. And Norwood not quite on it.

Wonder if this could be a game for blood and thunder Fleck.

(As long as we get John Fleck, not Jimmy Fleck)

Might be one game too early sadly

Norwood not in it, I can see Jebo' coming on for Ndiaye at some point, midfield needs shoring up they are cutting through us at will.
They are a good side though.

Anything could happen second half, Boro been the better side and look more likely to get the win but not gonna write us off, just need to play instead of panicking and hoofing the ball straight back to them.

Problem is we haven’t really played any decent teams yet second half of the season, our fragile midfield can’t cope when being tested, we need to stamp some authority and show them the quality…. Prediction, lose this 1-3…

issue next season…. You mean in the champ…. Those 10 points will have been swallowed up after the next 9 games….

They are getting dragged forward by their players who then turn them and hit the space they have vacated…. We need to sit in to win this and get Mcatee off

Coulibaly would be a good shout here. Boro have much more legs in midfield. We'll probably put Osborn on.

They just look much more assured on the ball than we do, can’t see how the second half will be any different if we change nothing.

Don’t mind oppo fans with balanced views, but had some right cock ends on here before, you seem sound…

i always like to hear opposition pojnt of view. must be some fans that do on here. more than happy to fuck off like. no skin off my back.
as JayGreen17 says you're clearly a sound guy so sorry for being hostile

my reply was mainly the result of the cocky Wrexham nobheads that have been gracing the forum the last couple of weeks I think
