McMananaman making himself look stupid.

He insists we should be kicking it long playing “hoofball” like Burnley.
He can’t believe why we keep resorting to patient build up play.

If he’d done any research...he’d know we rarely play the Burnley style.
Also we lack physicality so don’t have much success from crosses.

Think we’ve been decent this 2nd half.....been a more even game against one of the best teams in world football.

Shite today. A few technically decent performances, Lowe, Bash, McBurnie and Ramsdale definitely, but generally just wank.

Horrendous crossing from Baldock, scared to attack them even though we looked to have the means to hurt them, negative, all the speed and excitement of a frame of snooker.

Brewster had the one on one chance that was offside but he fucked it anyway by trying to chip the keeper, they can't get down as quick as they can jump, poor.

Again, played the last ten or so with a McG as a 10 and looked no worse defensively. We need 3 attacking players or this is how our season goes. 1-0 losses, 2-1 losses, 0-0's, 1-1's, that's all we'll do at the moment.

Lowe my MOTM for whatever that's worth.

Just throw Lundstram back to the U23 for the rest of the year. Obviously we just play shit, but he's not the player that's gonna help us out of it so might as well give other players a chance.

Egan, Norwood, Fleck & Berge really have to carry us this year.

Yeah, we absolutely don’t want to play players who get themselves into goal scoring positions.

I really would rather lose 6-4 than a 1-0 boring lack of creativity effort like today, we really have no ideas anymore.

I feel sorry for mcburnie and brewsters.... really do.

Also hope Wilder doesnt say the same stuff as normal, need to hear some inspirational words

Man City never really looked in trouble at any point in that game, are they that good, YES,never broke sweat did they.

We need to play at another level, which will probably be next season in the Championship.

I think, as much as the overlapping center backs was a novel ploy and it worked, we are incapable of adjusting our game plan. We don’t have the type of players to think on the fly, either individually or collectively, which means simply that once we get behind, the don’t have the mentally, inventiveness, or creativity to win a game ... simple as that ...

Better second half because they totally took their foot off the gas. Had we scored they'd have just gone and got another.

Probably can't read too much into that given the quality of opposition but it can't be helping confidence. Don't know why we don't put it in more quickly when in a decent position, maybe that's down to confidence too? Scared to make a mistake. Brewster must be wondering what he's let himself in for.

It was hard to watch. Onward and hopefully upward but confidence is waning. The players don't look like they are enjoying their football. No high fiving after a clearance, no one running themselves "into the grouund. Some playing well but everyone has to play great at the same time and that is not happening. When the season turns around is anyones guess.

I can't count the amount of times baldock gave the ball away today. Our quality today in final third was woeful

Another close scoreline to paper over the cracks of another gutless performance. The easy options taken all day long and wouldn’t have scored if we’d played for a week. Quality opposition but big players out and we never even attempted to turn the screw. Lundstram is costing points every game with appalling finishing and Baldock has lost all attacking intent / ability. Osborn championship quality and Ampadu completely out of sorts today. Brewster waits all game for a chance like that and then completely fluffs his lines. McBurnie adds to his only decent stat of winning more headers than anybody else but offers fuck all else.

It was so frustrating watching us get the ball wide, creating a space to cross the ball quickly and then pass backwards. There were times when an early cross should have happened. If CW is telling them to pass backwards when in crossing positions i would be worried. If he isnt, he needs to start games with the players who follow instructions.
