A good performance, controlled from start to finish. If i’m being critical i would’ve liked to see more chances and goals scored. I think Luton were an opportunity to try and get some more goals and build confidence further but lots and lots of good points to that game. Good in possession, great defensively, some good attacking play.

Really comfortable afternoon against a side that would have started the season with play off hopes and might sell come good yet.

Just to add something absolutely fucking extraordinary. Especially after last season. We have the best defensive record in the championship. Only 3 goals conceded. 9 games in and that’s fucking unreal. I know we haven’t played the big boys of the league yet but this is a 180 on last season where we had no defensive resilience.

Hats off to the team/staff

608 minutes (excluding injury time) since we last conceded a league goal. Just over 10 hours, I bet you could find a 10 hour spell last season where we conceded 25!

In fact in the last 608 minutes of last season we conceded 22..

brilliant performance, like swansea 2nd half midweek, it was comfortable 2-0 but couldve 3 & 4 creating so many chances & now joint top

what Wilder has changed in our defence is nothing short of miraculous, he's taken the "worst defence in english football history" & now we have just had 6 consecutive clean sheets. which is as many as our previous 50 before this current run (which stretches back to just before that infamous liquid dozy game at reading)

i can feel it Brewster will score today

on Brewster delighted his performance, its felt through im 1 of the last few that still believes in him 😄 but i always felt there is a player there but he's never had a proper run with injuries & it might not have been a goal but ill take an assist

Telling last line from the BBC football report:

"Both teams were in the Premier League last season, but on this evidence only one of them will be challenging for a return to the top flight next May."

Interesting..... change of formation and protecting Gus from getting a yellow.

If Wilder wanted to protect Hamer from a yellow, he would have subbed him OFF on 66 minutes, which is the universal average for when referees find their cards, rather than bringing him on at that point...

Great performance and result. Whole team did well and I thought Brewster did well in no. 10 roll.
We have a tough set of fixtures ahead, so good to get points in the bag.
Bit surprised looking at the fixture list that we have 5 of the next 7 games away, all quite tough as well, and 7 of the next 11!!
Well if we are still up there and thereabouts by Christmas our 2nd half of season will be easier. UTB

Terrific performance. We were the better side pretty much all game, and by a considerable margin too.

Rak-Sakyi was superb, even not considering the goals. Took great care of the ball, was always a handful for their defence, and got into some great positions.

Souza was great as ever - shame he didn't score vs Luton again - and I thought Brewster did very well while on the pitch. Made some intelligent runs, one with the ball 2nd half that resulted in the chance for JRS while still at 1-0. Forced a good save from their keeper too.

Praise as ever to the defence for the clean sheet. Very pleasing that despite a few changes in the last couple of games, the defence has remained so tight. And Cooper being behind them is obviously providing a ton of confidence, knowing that they now have a keeper who can be relied upon to make saves.

Only minor concern I have for future games, is that we could be more clinical. A lot of chances have been wasted in the last 2 games in particular that I've noticed, and if we continue like that it could end up blowing up in our faces. Hopefully things can click fully in the final third and we can start producing scoreline to match the level of dominance we had today.

To make such a creative, potent side at championship level so toothless so quickly is an incredible achievement

The season we went up under Heckingbottom, Millwall came to town early doors..
Always a problem fixture for us.

We played Anel, Egan and Clark at the back. Complete shut out.
Berge and Ndiaye, a class above at second tier level, produced the goods at the other end.
We won 2-0 and the scoreline flattered Millwall.

Today reminded me a bit of that.
Ruthless, efficient, comfortable.
Against an outfit you'd expect to be very competitive in the division.

Sound like a judge on Strictly !!

The most complete performance this season so far. From start to finish it was controlled and professional.
We looked a really well drilled side with everyone knowing what they were doing, making the right decisions and looked a really good footballing side.
Shades of the first promotion to the prem season under Wilder

Absolutely dominated Luton, genuinely think Portsmouth looked a lot better. Still got to beat them though, decent players throughout the squad and missing Carlton Morris but i wouldnt want to be them in 6-8 weeks time if things dont pick up as they could be in for a shite christmas onwards.

Played some nice stuff and look great at the back yet again. Arblaster makes a massive difference there will be bids in January.
